I’m just watching Canada Cup now, and heard the commentator say u can’t SPD fei’s HK chicken wing. Just tested it out in training, I couldn’t SPD the HK and EX chicken wing. This must apply to Guy’s U2 as well.

That’s because HK and EX Chicken Wing are both +0 on block when they hit on the first active frame.

yes he is the cvs2, also there are a couple videos, look in the video thread or arcade edition guy thread, also it was said that he had obtained 396 wins in a 400 game set.

He’s a solid player no doubt which is why he is the best Guy player, period. Gimmicks are highly risky, especially Guy’s. When playing someone like Diago, you can’t rely heavly on gimmicks to win. Every once and a while it’s good to throw in some gimmicks, but you have to remain solid most of the time. IMO, if he used more gimmicks he’d lose more often. Solid play > Gimmicks.

completely agreed. Some at Daigo or Mago’s level, using more gimmicks will get you own real quick. Those pros adapt to their opponents style as fast as one round. Daigo has shown that more than a dozen of times after losing a round to his opponents.

If i was playing a high level player, who knows what that player might have in stored for me if i do try to go for a throw on wake up… I would just rather block too… We all know in SSF4, one wrong guess can easily cost the round/match…

I just picked this game not too long ago. So far Ryu is my main and I want Guy to be my secondary with Fei or Ibuki my 3rd. This player using Guy here is pretty sick. I like Kiryu version as well. I’m trying to take the best from each guy (haha pun) and be good with the character.
