I still stand by my convictions: Nomura is a great artist, but he shouldn’t be writing plots and characters. A reboot of KH with Disney villains, perhaps working with FF villains, would be AWESOME, instead of Nomura’s original characters buggering shit up. Actually, Ansem was okay, until he turned out to be a dude pretending to be Ansem STOP SPECS BEFORE YOU MAKE THE CONNECTION BETWEEN SORA AND SORA’S DAD, WHO IS PROBABLY SORA. God Nomura makes me mad.
I read somewhere that Donald was supposed to be the KH star. That would have been AWESOME.

after playing the japanese version of KH BBS, i’m officailly done with this mediocre series. nomura is a hack job.

BBS so far seems like a more difficult KH2 with a Reaction Commands that are more sensible as opposed to the godlike invincibility that KH2 offered.

Don’t really like the whole shooting system thing, a bit awkward. Probably would’ve worked better on a system with two analog sticks.
By the way, the boss against the Magic Mirror is EXCELLENT. Probably the best designed boss as far as atmosphere goes in the series.

That’s some ole’ bull cracka! Square hasn’t been doing much for their console fans lately from what I hear. I only hear bad things about Last Remnant (The PC version from what I read from reviews online is better), Infinite Undiscovery, that Mana game they published, FFXIII, and that recent Chronicles game. I know that recently published another RPG called Nier, but I don’t hear much of that either. With the addition of that article stating that we may not see a KHIII in 2012 or Versus XIII until 2012, will certainly alienate the current fans who seem be getting fed up with them already.
I’m going to update the original post with this. Any other news of note (Sonichuman or any one else)? I figure I can take down the 352/8/23 days stuff.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is going to never come out. He is just going to continue to make more portable games that retcon each other all the time.
They said the same for Duke Nukem :rolleyes: Really IMO the sidestories are over. Unless Bomura pulls random shit out his ass (358/2). What he needs to do to hold us over is for the 10th anniversary, port a Collector’s Edition update of KH1: Final Mix, and KH2: Final Mix+ in PS3 quality and bring em to Mrs. America. Even I would forgive him if he did that. I mean it is the trend (GoW, Ico/SotC)
I agree… but Duke Nukem has been out of commission WAAAYYYY longer than Kingdom Hearts… maybe they plan on bringing this to the next generation console…

I remember when I finally was able to purchase 358/2; I was elated. Finally, a NEW Kingdom Hearts game! We all know how that turned out…
Now, another ‘new’ Kingdom Hearts game is out, and I find myself thinking ‘who gives a shit?’ I feel like these games are just a reminder that A) a new, actual Kingdom Hearts game will be coming out ‘soonish’, and B) “Those last Kingdom Hearts games were pretty good right? Yeah, here’s some shit we threw together we know you’ll buy.”
I refuse to buy anything simply because it has a specific monacur on it. I haven’t played FF13, and I’m not going to buy BBS. I’m sure I’ll just be let down. Good game play or not, what’s my incentive to play this game? Is it the same incentive I had to ge see ‘The Phantom Menace’? That won’t work, SquareEnix. Slapping together a bunch of shit and trying to convince me to have empathy for characters that look like other familiar characters is bullshit, and you know it. OK, the graphics are awesome. That’s great SquareEnix, we remember how awesome you are at making things pretty. Yes, I saw Advent Children; very impressive. But it’s 2010, and you’re not the only one who makes awesome looking games. Telling me the selling point of a game is the graphics is like selling me tickets to a shitty band, but giving me a big bag of weed to smoke during the show. I feel great and everything is funny, but the band sucks balls and I’m $45 poorer…but hey, everything looks just great!
My theory? SquareEnix has no fucking clue how to roll out Kingdom Hearts 3. NO…FUCKIN’…CLUE. Maybe we’ll see it by the time I in my thirties, and chances are, I won’t give two god-damn fucks in a pigs ass when it finally lands. You want my advice? Go back and play the previous, actual numbered Kingdom Hearts games (post bullshit, prentious subtitles), and remember how awesome they were.

Look, don’t get me wrong. I want this game to be good. Hell, I want this game to be amazing, but I can’t keep picking up games based on it’s relation to other things I like. I know SquareEnix is first and foremost a business, and as a business, there sole purpose is to make money…lots and lots of money. But I prefer that they do it with some god-damn integrity. Quality over Quantity.
Even now, I’m telling myself ‘It looks great, and it’s Kingdom Hearts. What if is actually is great? Think of all the fun you could be having!!’
