He’s not a bad design but he could have been better. They played it too safe with his gameplay aspects though.
One a new character though, I don’t have any idea what SNK can do to make one that’s fresh. They’ve pretty much done EVERY archtype imaginable. But they do pull rabbits out of the hat when they need to though.

A bit contradicting since Ash came before Oswald, or maybe he has to learn a thing or two about fighting games and THEN respond.

gotcha, yeah Ash is from 2k3 and Ozwald from Xi, didn’t pay much attention to that the 1st time around.
Since KOF XII. As much as I wanted to like it, I didn’t. Take it at face value. Don’t get me wrong, I love SNK fighters. XII was just a kick in the face.
The point is while Ash is goofy and Momoko is fucking stupid, Oswald, Shen Woo, Duo Lon and Elisabeth are all pretty cool.

hopefully they improve the sprites graphics because kof12 had like ps2 graphics sprites and for 2010 game hopefully they look good. Otherwise this games gonna like good.
I just can’t let that slide. I will admit the package is barebones, the online lacking and even the gameplay simplified from past KOF games. Hell I will even say that the 480p sprites are a touch dated. But to call them PS2 level? Now that’s just stepping out of line. Let me take a guess. You think Blazblue is the next level of 2d fighting with 3 frames for attacks, simple shading, and flat along with generic design? I rather not. I rather take the KOF XII sprites then the Blazblue sprites hands down. Now if only SNK can modify the gameplay and make it complete…

Yeah yeah, I know…Oswald is my favorite “new” KOF character. It’s just that Ash is a fucking joke protagonist. I don’t know what they were trying to “revitalize” by making him the main character but it wasn’t worth it. They took the series’ yaoi-baiting to new levels with him. I meant to say that if Ash is what’s “innovating” is in SNK terms, I’d rather not have it
