Of course, but if they can do it for MVC2/CVS2 then they can do it for KOF. If they can learn Guilty Gear and Marvel then they can learn KOF13, if they can learn these games they can put the time and effort to learn KOF13, anything else is cutting corners IMHO and at International tournaments with those that don’t cut corners in the game the lack of experience and exposure will be very very evident.
That works, I’m just saying overall learn as much as you can because at a high level tournament you will need it if 13 takes off like that, I assure you this much, tops in Mexico are already gonna play it so from my end I assure you anything international you’re gonna need to know more than just 3 characters.
Yeah of course they can do that, but if they want to be GOOD, they have to go beyond that. Hell if they want to be AVERAGE from even an international level (Not talking the USA), they have to go beyond that, KOF is as much about matchups as it is experience, exposure and everything else…
Hell I may not like a character (Like Shen in KOFXII) but I learned him anyways! Why? Hell Shen (And Robert) ended up being my Achilles Heel in Nouveau Defi Prologue 2009 after I defeated Mr. KOF vs. Reynald in Winners Finals and against Mr. KOF again in Losers Finals in a close 3-2 Loss, so my INEXPERIENCE/INEXPOSURE to high level Shen/Robert is what cost me in the tournament…**Never again!!! **
It’s called skill, determination, hard work, applying stuff from other games like MVC2, CVS2, and other stuff to KOF (learning three characters if people did it in those games why not this one?)
Anything else anyone else says and it’s an excuse nothing more nothing less…
As I say if you are happy with just being at a particular level then go right ahead, but if you wanna be GREAT at the game you can’t just do what everyone else does or you’ll be AVERAGE to a degree BELOW average from an international standpoint, you gotta go above and beyond and do the things others aren’t doing!
