Regardless of if the original KI character are unique or not what sense does it make to make a brand new character to the series and not at least put some thought into them either? Lol.

Then again american developers NEVER make good fighting game characters. Their scope is only as wide as the character they see in popular japanese fighting games. So now we have a hooded mashup of Ibuki, Kitana, Spiderman and Viola. Maybe the web thing will turn out cool…who knows.

It’s the whole reverse psychology thing. You post something negative till the people that don’t come out say “WTF…dat shit ain’t true” etc. etc. Typical trolling.

I’m not gonna lie, I like acrobatic type characters and such (played X-23 for most of Vanilla Marvel) so I was instantly attached when I saw her. Not gonna make me drop Glacius for her though because Glacius is pretty much Killer Instinct’s take on Viper/Dormammu and that looks too damn fun. Controlling niggas and setting up unblockables then do shoulder charges like 3S Urien. Oh man.

I think the problem is that the video makes her “super unique playstyle” appear rather overstated when you see her shooting out a web and looking like something that loosely resembles a character you’ve seen before. Someone in the DH forums rumored that it might have been a rejected KI character that was apparently an oversized crab or something. Right before the trailer I was like “yo…this might be a big ass crab, we got dinosaurs with battletoads torsos…why not?” and then she came out instead.

I think people were looking to see her use a weapon or attacks that no one has ever seen and then as soon as they saw knives and webbing, they went down the list of characters that had knives and webbing. Whereas the real unique part of her is how her playstyle basically can’t normally work in the Killer Instinct engine (and the fact that nobody does what she does in KI in general).

Oh and then the whole not being iconic man on fire or generic black guy thing.

Yeah I like how original she is towards the cast and the whole ariel thing she has going on. It’s definitely a playstyle this game needs

Now that you mention Glacius I’d also like to talk about him too. I also like alot of his moves. The whole ice controlling alien seems quite cool. And I also love seeing him in different colors, especially the black and red ones

We get 5 seconds of gameplay and all of a sudden shes the first character in KI to have airborne comboes. For all we know those could be followups after launching them into the air, or anti-air follow ups.

I’d be more inclined to think those webs she makes play a bigger part than the air stuff.
