I think spinal will play like spiral/rose ( morphing/stealing a characters move)

cinder like fei long (trait invisibility)

fulgore like Gouken ( trait chip damage on attacks)

Orchid like chun ( super fast low damage)

riptor like lu kang ( trait command bite on some normals)

I wonder who will get like poison attacks as a trait… I can almost promise it’s gonna happen.

I really want to see what they are gonna do with TJ combo to make him and his trait interesting…

When you activate TJ Combo’s instinct mode he gains the immense, special power of being able to kick.

He had a knee bash special/combo breaker in 1 and actually has kick normals in 2. it’ll be interesting to see how they go.

Game needs a girl and a robot.

Seriously, I’m not convinced they will do a full reveal for every character on the roster, so some favorites might be in the game but not get a stage show.

I am hoping we get some new characters though.

If I’m DH, I would be hoping that Microsoft DOES push back the X1 release a bit. Would give them a bit more time to work on the game.

I dunno, with this seasonal release thing they are trying, the game doesn’t really release like a traditional game, it just begins. So I’m not sure how much impact the launch has on it.

That said, I’m sure they want as much time as possible to make that first impression good. Otherwise you have the SFxT, sf3 problem.

A question to anyone who may know. Have they ever said how long the game was in development?

Damn thunder looks awesome, so far the best looking redesign. I really like how lighting strikes with his attacks on the command grabs, good on you DH.

Side story:
Maaaan, this chick ruined me for a brief moment. I was at Dragon Con a couple years ago with this girl i was really into, super cute Japanese met 6 years ago in Tokyo. She was coming to Dragon Con from Japan because her and her Twin sister created a inde film and it was being shown there. So she asked me to come and spend some time with them since i live in FL its not too far from Atlanta so of course i went. So day 1, when we’re walking around checking out the con flirting having a good time then i see Orchid… Mind fucked me, i said “Gaawwwwd Daaamn!” and immediately handed the girl i was with my camera and said " i need this…picture" and went over to her.

So as i walk back over to the girl i was with she says" So is that the kind of girl you like?" As i still staring at dat ass in dat costume the only response i could muster was a shrug… Needless to say our dynamic changed after that lol… But man… Booty.

Yeah I think it’ll take time for this to sink in for everyone. This is like what would happen if Skullgirls actuall got new characters every month or 2 months instead of just nothing but patches. You kinda justt have to think of it as a really flashy XBLA game and then eventually it develops into a game with a more robust roster.

I like this because it allows the players to play more of a role in the development of each character. Filthie Rich and the gus are listening and taking feedback from people on a level pretty unprecedented minus maybe MikeZ himself. I’ve even heard that they may allow each new character to be playable for free for a limited amount of time so the players can help with balance before they officially release the character.

Its been said DH has been working on the game for about 10 months. They were given the ok a bit before that after being selected from a pool of developers that pitched ideas. Some people may give them crap, but the fact that they cam on top over other developers means it could have been worse.

Well, it’s slated to come out November 29th, so that should give us at least 7 fighters coming out. I know it’s not a large selection but it worked out for MK & SF back in the day, and they’ll continue to release fighters on a monthly basis afterwards.

I personally have no problem. Games nowadays have a ton of characters, I like a stream-lined game with 30 characters max and where each character is different. We don’t need 8 of the same character type ShotoCoughSF4*

Charge times are irrelevant. It’s basically just a quick back forward motion.

So they’re basically Mortal Kombat commands instead of charges. Nice.

We’ve got 8 characters officially confirmed so far, that puts it on level with Vanilla BlazBlue on launch at the least but there will be a steady stream of extra content being added to the game.
I’m actually most interested right now surprisingly enough in hearing more about the additional modes/features in the game, Double Helix has been doing a really great job in communicating with the community so far, however what the training/online/arcade/replay modes etc are like is still fairly in the dark at this point so I hope to see a thorough explanation of these modes and features sometime in the near future.

Plus once people see the cheap price point for everything, that will make staying in for the longhaul or purchasing the ones they like (as they come) easier.

Exactly! I already have $5-10 slated on getting Thunder on Day One, and possibly Cinder if he’s the next one released. And if Combo or Orchid come afterward, Double Helix can get even more from my wallet!

All I remember hearing is they will reveal the pricing options and teaser for new character.

Hm, maybe my memory is faulty. We’ll see what they do shortly anyway. Gamescon is just right around the corner
