The only thing I was disappointed in was no firey phoenix move, but since he’s a grappler I can totally understand why they did not put it in, unless they are holding off on that reveal 
And wow, his stage? Man where the hell has DH been making fighters? I cannot believe how much justice they are doing the KI franchise with what they’ve showed so far. His stage looks AMAZING! I can’t wait to see what happens on that stage when an ultra combo happens!
Maybe Double Helix has just been working on the wrong genre of games.

The damage output on his throw seems pretty good, and the character looks rather interesting overall.

It’s really not that hard to see all of what has worked and not worked and have a new company come in and work on a fighting game. If MikeZ can do it, anybody can do it.
To me, it seems like it would be difficult to be super passionate about developing movie games and ports/remixes of games. Killer Instinct allows them to be a lot more creative and have more potential to sell with less risk since they’re not worried about throwing 60 dollar games on shelves that may or may not get bought.
This isn’t going to be a full price game?

As for Thunder, not only is he a grappler, but for those who’ve played Tekken, I think he’s King-Calibur. Combo-able low attacks, hit-grabs, dropkicks, he’s gonna be a handful. And that Instinct Mode…I almost cried. An Invincible Dash that’s Special Cancelable.
A.K.A. If you even THINK about throwing a Projectile you will taste DIRT and LIGHTNING!!!

The game is going to be like Burger King or Subway. You buy it your way. Buy the full game and you get the rest of the characters as they come without additional charge. Other ways of buying the game will include buying the packs/episodes which will be pretty cheap, buy the characters individually which should still be not too expensive per character or just not buy the game and play Jago forever.
It’s basically spend anywhere between 0 and 60 dollars and you still get to play Killer Instinct. Considering there’s no game packaging and shipping to stores, the full game may cost less than 60 also. This is basically a glorified Xbox Live Arcade game any way. It’s part of Ken Lobb’s ideal of making it so Killer Instinct is so accessible purchase wise that everyone will be able to play Killer Instinct in some form no matter how hardcore or casual they are. Back in the day people played fighting games cuz they were fun to bash each other in, not for the tournament play and streams. This gives casuals more incentive to get in and gets rid of the money gouge and commitment from previous fighters. They want to not just grab fighting gamers with this, but grab everyone like back when.
The concept is pretty revolutionary IMO and when SFV comes out in 2018, it will most likely adopt this also.
manliest trailer ever. thank god xbox changed their shit up so i could actually buy it. seems like they are rushing. i wonder if it will get pushed back a couple months. id really like a game that doesnt go through like 2-3 different patches over the course of its life and i can just enjoy all the good shit i find throughout its life span.

I was just thinking how little I care about Ultra SF4, and how my only fighting game interest right now is with KI.
I need to fucking figure out WTF is wrong with my arcade monitor so I can get KI1 up and running without it looking like there is a tint on the screen.
I would say stereotypical is a better word than racist, but native americans specifically have been trying to clamp down on people portraying them as their original tribal selves when they are just trying to be regular Americans. Hence the whole racism thing whenever they see a native american. The only thing I could really see is the blatant indians and cowboys style yells he would make and the fact that he had feathers for a mohawk which is, if not racist, ullllllllllltraaa cheesy.
haha nice. im good. tekken has back burned since i left m.d. i still keep in touch with dalaw though, and it will always have a place in my heart (tekken that is). lol. nah ive moved to two different states since vegas. gotta go gotta go. just dat real life, stream monstering and ggpoing. lookin forward to some k.i. hopefully we get good netcode with all these community members inputting on the process.

Where’d you get this from? Mick Gordon has said that the old themes from KI 1 will be available as some type of secret unlockable, but I haven’t heard anything about the old costumes being available.
But IMHO, I really wouldn’t be a big fan of them filling the game with old stuff. I really am loving all of the new stuff I’m seeing in this game, the character redesigns are on point and have completely blown me away. I would rather that they just fill it with more new stuff, especially characters.
Also, did anyone notice the new colors on Jago? It looked like he had black pants with blue decorations. I hope that they have some type of custom color system like in KOF, or if not that, something really in depth like the ones Namco uses for Tekken and Soul Calibur.
