The game was atrocious on game boy but the music still held. Maybe people bought it as a means of an mp3 player exclusive with KI music xD I would have.

Part of that strength in youtube tributes is due to Ono resurrecting the franchise for people to have the passion to make those tributes to begin with. A surge in youtube tributes will happen as Killer Instinct releases.
This remix of Glacius’ theme is probably the most popular remix of any of the songs. Pretty sure I’ve also heard this in a combo video or something.
People on the Double Helix forums are asking for another Killer Cuts disc since that was a staple of the console versions of the first two games.
This is the original killer cuts remix of the Instinct that came with the SNES. Been used in all kinds of stuff. Has over 600,000 views and was originally uploaded 5 years ago. The views on this will definitely surge as the game releases.
The Glacius KI2 song from the game got me more pumped than any fighting game music ever had. The KI1 song was cool too, but not nearly as intense.
Yeah Glacius’ song was my favorite song in KI1 because it really fit his mysterious, alien in cold weather persona. Plus was a nice beat.
Listening to his KI2 song it’s really grown on me also. Just straight industrial and to the point.

does vine not work for anybody else? i can unmute it, but there’s no sound in firefox or IE. apparently, there are a lot more samples up than i realized.
Well Vine is easiest to use on your android phone since its an app and all. It works on the google chrome on my laptop though.
Either the clip is from something entirely different, or it’s a hint to next character after Thunder considering the music doesn’t fit with the rest if Thunders.

I was referring to the music, it just reminds me of Fulgore’s KI1 music. Also maybe that blue light is something to do with Fulgore’s electricity.
Yeah well I played WPL on SNES - and the controls were horrible. It was one of those games where the difficulty was tied to controls more than anything else, I remember some special moves being negative edge triggered ONLY and SamSho kind of motions at time. Granted I was a kid then, so I’m more than likely remembering worse than it was, it def wasn’t like SF where things felt ‘natural’. The fatalities were ‘setup’ to…very ‘not-MK’ in nature…people didn’t stand back up to get their heads ripped off.
KI was way more than Orchid…she got people to look at the game, but she was def not the end all be all. Growing up I remember always fighting against Jago’s, an random Spinal/Riptors that would clear the arcade, go get lunch so people would start playing again, then come back and clear the machine again.
And fair or unfair, I never really think about KI2…the shit is like CFJ to me. I know it exist, but ll I remember was a big fuggin dinosaur. With KI2 I just remember Kim Wu and the Conan dude. It’s timing REALLY did suck. I feel like it came out around MK3 fever pitch, and that was chased by MvC as well…so timing straight up KILLED KI2, it didn’t help that RARE dropped the ball with the console releases.
