Killer Instinct XB1: Season 2 hits October 15th. 20 dollars for Combo, 40 dollars for Ultra

Fixed

@truendymion

Can’t really see Riptor as a Grappler, more rushdown like Sabrewulf. As for Fulgore, he could be a hybrid…

IIRC I think he had an air projectile, too. Tusk could definitely be another grappler in this system, with Maya being rushdown and Kim Wu as the Hybrid.

Love the stages, but it makes me think that they’re going away from the stage fatality route and I’ll kinda miss that. But if it’s being substituted by having stage collapses with Ultra Combos, it’ll pass.

Exactly, it features alot but isn’t overwhelming. They all are detailed very well and look fun enough to battle in. Also has a great texture to it. And they make the themes of the stage look so badass. Like Glacius past KI stages were just snow stages, but this one actually look like it’s a futuristic alien land, I like how they added more to the themes of the stages

Jago looks pretty built, Glacius’s feminine looking physique is oddly alien looking and I like it.

I like the jello gills on Glacius’ neck. That looks pretty cool.

It seems I was mistaken earlier in the thread about NYCC tickets being sold out. Midtown will be selling tickets 8/8

I hope KI shows up at NYCC.

But she’s got a pounce attack! That could easily be turned into a grab type move. And yeah she has so many types of fireballs I can’t imagine them taking away that aspect of her playstyle.

touche…touche…

I guess it was their way of upping the percentage of ‘women’ in hte cast…some higher up just said turn one of the males into a female.

I hope the bring back Riptor’s bicycle kick LOL.

It would be cool if they kept her Air Fireball, and somehow included it in a juggle combo. But yeah, I say rushdown because of her pounce attack and her tail flip, which can be done in the air.

The thing I like the most about the stages is that each character is getting their own stage. They’re throwing it back to the old school where each character has their own music and location to identify themselves with. A lot of games have so many characters now that they just have to make generically themed stages or stages that are a tribute to some of the characters in the game at best.

That means each character will have their own hella detailed background and Mick Gordon will be giving them a musical theme that’s worthy of their identity and story.

you better play with me DevilJin… you live up the street so no excuses especially since now you will be my wiki guide an frame data manual.

an if your coming to the monthly (which you better or send ya chill twin) we will be playing part 1… cause part 2 i tend to not make people want to play at how stupid things you could get away with in that one.

Yeah DevilJin I agree. I was recently watching a video that had SF2 music overlayed, and it reminded me how badass the SF2 music was. Then it reminded me how badass the stages were too. I hadn’t heard Ken’s music in ages and holy shit it still owns to this day. Same with Bison and Sagat’s music. And who can forget the E-Honda music with the little clicking noise at the start of it? Just so awesome and iconic back in the day.

Then you have SF4 that has generic stages, most of which suck, and the music is awful too. Then SFxT the music took a huge step back. I hated the sound in general in SFxT.

KI’s sound in general is AMAZING! It just has so much punch as a whole. That was the only downside about playing it at the stations at Evo - I could hardly hear the sound because it was so loud in there. The whole themed stages/music is awesome and I’m glad they are bringing it back. I just REALLY hope that Thunder has his bridge stage, and that the music is also the style it was in KI1.

That opening riff on cinder stage an how the camera panned in… loved it. Thunders stage was just beautiful infusion of some rock n that native american chants… the spooooky theme for spinal with the thunder n lightning. It was like SF even down to the “speed up/your about to die” portions. definitely cant wait to hear the new tracks on full blast with the stage effects included.

The rapid fire was after a combo breaker… the low ball (low flame) could stop a lot of charge characters but like cinders flame extension you could get set up if done at the wrong distanct. his air could be be done after a claw leap or you could tiger knee it an make it a low/mid/high hit or set up a cheesy cross over on certain characters…

And Koop I still haven’t looked into figuring out what is wrong with my arcade monitor :frowning:

Once I have time to do it I will let you know and you can come through to play some classic KI. I’ve just been doing a lot of stuff outside on the weekends and don’t feel like tinkering while we have good weather. It’s just gotta be a loose wire or something with the brightness setting. It’s like the brightness will only go 1/2 way even though the knob is turned all the way. I was messing with wires and it randomly came back to normal brightness for a while but then went back to the dim brightness.

Man Koop, your going to make me want to make a road trip up north just ot play people lol. I’m hoping to not go up north again until the holidays though (game won’t be out till then anyways). Maybe I can get some Black Friday setup or something to get it at launch, is launch really black friday for XBOne/KI/Fight Stick? That’s the other thing I’m trying to figure out, is MadCatz the only option? Or should I just buy another controller and mod it into a fight stick…hmmm

My Amazon preorder says it ships on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving, and the Toys R Us thing that came out recently says Black Friday. So I think it’s still not decided 100%. But I’d take Amazon’s word over TRU if I had to pick one.

Mick Gordon posted an extra clip of Thunder’s track.

I need a Hitbox to play xD i can play on stick, but not as efficiently. I wonder if theyll release a hitbox for new gen relatively close to release
