The fact that I saw people still doing button checks at NEC on KI made me sad. -_-
What was the KI2 tier list and why was he top tier?
I guess its just part of the initiation of being a real fighting game. Character select screen, press right button, hit Y if you use default, press A to tap buttons down the list, good to go. At this point though button checks are almost like warm ups and a way to get tensions out before the match. Plus if there’s something wrong with your dpad/joystick, I guess it wouldn’t hurt to check it there first.
If 2 people are using KI sticks though I agree. Hit the RB, hit Y, get to the match.
If anyone is up for player matches some time let me know.
Just don’t expect any high level play though, I’m still learning the game and playing randoms on ranked only gets me so far.

HmmI thought Top 2 in KI1 was Riptor and Cinder due to unblockables and Infinites.
KI is the first game I’ve watched where mirror matches actually pretty interesting.
Let me know when you’re ready to fight. Just got to Ladder Climber after beating this other Glacius two times in ranked. Ranking system in this game is pretty unforgiving. You get a lot of points for beating someone high rank, but lose at all (especially to someone lower ranked) and you go plummeting down sometimes to a demotion notice.
GG’s last night to Mike Infinite, a learned allot about the Jago mathcup from that long set, now i see why people consider him one of the best.

Rich said they are looking into adjustments for ranked. Hopefully fixing how brutal it is and addressing all the rage quitting.
Nice. If they can fix rage quits and make losing a bit less unforgiving they’ll be about where they need to be. Its pretty solid otherwise and I like how it auto searches the next match for you.
I think people need to just turn off wifi when playing KI so they can play online so they don’t have the issues that they were having. Rico mentioned it but it would be beneficial if more people knew, especially for tournaments.
Which issues are these?
They had some “you have to be connected to XBL in order to play Killer Instinct” (even though you don’t). I only had that error when something was wonky with my wifi, haven’t had that issue after that.

Pretty much, but there was a Jago there who was hitting manuals consistently and the Sabre Rico fought in GF was pretty decent. Started to turn it up towards the end.
