Anything interesting on the stream?
Orchid is now playable at the MS stores if you’re near one. She’s really fun so far. Once you start doing those flik flaks you start to get that throwback going. Rekkas should add to her mix up and frame trap game.
I’m pretty sure i pre-ordered the second one… so I better get mine…
Yeah I just know I preordered on 10/10 around like 7pm I think, and mine went through when everyone else was having issues. Now I’m wondering if I’ll get it by Friday if it ships out because I did ground, and I’m on the east coast lol.

Set between CD JR and Filthie Rich. I definitely would have gotten CD JR off the sticks with my Glacius. It’s obvious he just had more experience with the game than everyone else there.
This is easily the best set I’ve ever seen in this game yet. And it looks fucking amazing.
Best part is that’s only the beginning. Both of them still got a lot to improve on and the meta is going to go crazy from here on out. Can’t wait till the other players start exceeding the devs. It’s going to be awesome.
This game is gonna be insane… Alot of people are complaining that its a “mash fest” in the stream. BUT
A: They’ve never played KI and don’t know what an auto double/manual double is
B: They haven’t even touched KI3
C: They’re scared of the HYPE #EVO 2014
That stream was more entertaining to watch then most SF4 AE matches in the past year… 6 days guys!!!
Everything that’s mashy in this game is risky for the most part. Most special moves are unsafe on block and you only get one guess to break a combo or you’re locked out for 3 or 4 seconds. People just mashing on stuff will usually forget to do their enders and lose out on like 60 percent of the damage of the combo they did any way. Stream monsters just like to use “what you can get for mashing buttons” as a false judgment of skill for the game at their level of play. The game lets you do things which helps bring people in, but anyone good knows how to stop it all.
Dragon punches and single hits don’t do much damage also. This is what I wish SFIV was. Tight block strings, meaties are relevant, you have to actually think to reverse stuff, majority of the cast has good walk speed, you can get experimental and do REAL combos like the old SF games and not just jab jab FADC, long combos actually do damage…my kinda game.
Midnight 22nd can’t come soon enough.

Killer Instinct gets an 8.4 from IGN.
Pretty fair considering how little content comes with the game, but I did find this quote pretty hilarious. Just goes to show you how little knowledge of KI the reviewer had.

Been loving this.
TBH that was the best review we could have gotten from IGN. Vince has proven that he knows more about fighting games than anyone else there and was the ideal person to review the game. He made note of the new things in the game that will revolutionize fighting games and set it apart from other games rather than “LOL DLC Fighter with 6 characters and funny characters/story”.
Which means the game got a better review than all of the other AAA titles on PS4 or Xbox One so far. We’re set to go in the media and the tournament scene. Thank you Double Helix.
KI has got to be a hard game to review.
To one group it has what counts in spades, but to another it’s severely lacking in content.
I would be tempted to give it two scores.
MadCatz has the worst chat support I’ve ever used. I asked about the shipping of the TE2 and if there was anyway I could change my shipping method, and they told me that the TE2 would ship as inventory arrives, and no I can’t change my shipping method. In this day and age, what company doesn’t let you change shipping method, and who can’t give you more information other than “they will ship when inventory arrives”.
Thanks captain obvious, I thought they were going to ship before they arrived or ever even manufactured…
