I’m just going to quote you and tell you that you should practice what you preach and please come with facts the next time. Xechs already gave you links that you should read. The Kinect features can be turned off, yes, it must be connected to the console in order to function, but through software, you can turn off the “looking” and “listening” features. This is what Microsoft has stated. If you don’t want to believe what Microsoft said, then that is your business, but I won’t consider a belief as a fact.

Agreed to new thread. Keep the Xbox One chatter in the Xbox One thread. This is SRK: we historically haven’t spent half the PS3 CvS2 thread grousing about the PS3, etc.
There’s a Xbox One friends and family event this Saturday. If you’re in Redmond… my PM box works… shrug. Not sure about the logistics, but … putting it out there. (I will never try to sell you anything. Either my work (I do not work on Xbox) speaks for itself or it doesn’t.)
