Damn i want me some Sabrewulf NOWS!
More KI footage , plus an interview with the developers:
So is a new team inside Double Helix with people that had worked in Skullgirls, Street Fighter Super and Turbo… Now let’s see if they can deliver, so far i’ve liked what’s been showed
That Jago DOUBLE ULTRA Combo was amazing! I’m hype for this game even tho I dunno how I’m gonna play it (Don’t want a Xbone ).
ah, so weaponlord guys ARE on the team. wasn’t quite sure considering that game was produced by the same guys who developed clay fighters1 while namco published the game, not interplay. that’s actually good news because that game had a very involved sub-system.
anyway, my interest is peaked, but i won’t say i’m quite on board just yet…and here’s why. that interview proved to me DH understands fundamental fighting game design…that’s the good news. however, unfortunately, i’m personally just not seeing or hearing anything INNOVATIVE for the fighting game genre as a whole. powerups, cancels, enhancements, etc…some of those may be new for KI, but it’s all been done before heavily somewhere else. at this very early stage, it just seems like they’re implementing concepts from other fg’s (albeit good/great fighting games) while simultaneously expanding on KI’s traditional combo system. that’s all gravy, but i’m waiting for something NOVEL and GROUNDBREAKING…something that sets KI3 apart from other fgs.
on the plus side, it’s GREAT that they’re introducing different fighting styles for different characters. from the trailer, it looks like glacius will be the dhalsim-like character of the game, so that’ll be interesting to see how they implement that style into KI’s system. whoever the projectile heavy character is will also be interesting because that was certainly something missing from KI (KI1 at least)…a character that can lambast you from a distance with just projectiles (sorta like hawkeye on crack…fullscreen projectiles-only-ultra anyone? i can hear the crying already). and finally, a grappler (a real one) is definitely a welcomed addition to this series. i’m just waiting to see someone eat a 30-slam-chain-throw-ultra for the most hilariously embarassing ultra ever. haha
i’ll definitely be watching how the game develops, but i need to see more before i get on the hype train.
ULTRACOMBOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! X2
I’m just going to wait and see what this game looks like.
Thanks you. I like it so much.
So much hate.
Game looks great, will be both F2P and standard purchase model, and the developers are asking for feedback and seem genuinely interested in making this a good fighter.
Definitely something SFIV-ish about the art direction. That said, I appreciate SFIV’s artistic design more than any FG this gen, despite me not even liking the game.
I’m kind of hyped for this and I really do look forward to seeing more. I know it’s still VERY early so I’ll wait to complain about a few things I see, like the hit sparks looking like M80s going off every time contact is made.
Yeah, those hit sparks are so fuckin cool. That shit needs to be mandatory in future fighters. KI is probably the prettiest fighting game I’m seen to date. lol
I give the devs props.
Better release a PC or arcade version cuz no way am i buying an xbox one.
Shit, i’ll play wit niggas at gamestop like its a arcade.
Looks like Street Fighter… Oh dear
Well hopefully Orchid is back, but I’m sure she is since she is a main character and Jago’s older brother (I’m not saying it isn’t possible but isn’t Jago Japanese and B.orchid is black?)
Well I hope she is even hotter then before
Also hope Cinder, Fulgor, and Kim Wu return
its not KI3 its just a reboot to the series with supers?
KI was all about the sound and the graphics focus on that first
but sadly when the game comes out on consoles the graphics are going to look just like this
Seeing people willing to toss money to m$ for this game is disheartening :shake:
How cute, are we in 1993? Been a long ass time no seeing that see that.
I’m still wondering who the new fighters will be in this game. Total number of playable fighters in the series is 13, meaning at least 7 more will have to be put in to make the fights more variable.
Just looking at the Jago/Sabrewulf fight gets me hyped like back in the 90s again. Can anyone confirm if that’s the same announcer from the original two games? I’d like to believe so since he can only bring THAT much hype to this beloved game.
ULTRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!
I miss Jago’s original design, not a Mad Max/He-Man crossover…
