if you are trying to read a fireball and you use EX you catch an extra option (focus) instead of just the fireball. plus you get dmg, id say knockdown setup potential is about the same though.
is there any way to make stinger FADC u1 not whiff in the corner? fwd dash and back dash both do not work. i guess it doesnt matter cause you can just EX Dagger for a 1000x easier input and 1 less bar. was just curious if i was mis-timing it or what cause i can hit it midscreen.
c.hp to c.mk works evn w/o counter hit or you can link a stinger. I’ve comboed c.rh off far s.lp a few times, I’m guessing I been hitting with the later frames since sweep is 7 frames and s.lp is only +6. I was messing with it on a crouching Seth, s.lp, s.lp, far s.lp, sweep was comboing.
whoops late night post I was definitely thinking of s.hp. But yeah you can link it when it hits with later frames, I can c.hp x2 on some characters even though c.hp is 6 frame start up and c.hp is only +5. Sorta like on Seth you can s.lp x3 and link sweep even though the data says otherwise.
Ok so after HP hands, you can mk scramble to hp break (crosses up in corner). It hits meaty and is only -3. Test with Guile Flask kick, Sagat Tiger uppercut, and Ken Hp Shoryuken.
I’ll just keep a list going as I find it. Keep in mind that delayed wake up will mess with these set ups.
Safe from 3 frame reversals:
Backthrow, c.lk, mk scramble, hp break
Safe from 4 frame reversals:
Hp hands, mk scramble, hp break (crosses up in corner)
but you can still GET GRABBED
interesting tho very strong against honda or ppl with slow lps/lks + slow reversals
for the combo EX scramble HP break, stinger, u2 - what are the optimum conditions for it to hit? i seem to only be able to do it when i cross up. and is it best to hit the stinger as soon as possible, or wait until they are max height? its a pretty tough combo to hit 100% of the time for me
