If anyone wants to practise outpoking Zangief, but can’t find a good gief player to play against, just set the CPU to hardest and go for it. That shit is ridiculous - I’d say just practise anti-airing and keeping him out, escaping. Don’t try any block strings cos he’ll freaking do Ultra 1 from your blocked cr.lk

As you may have noticed the forum has been gone under some more organization, and have eastern hemisphere guys helping out to provide info and such.

lol im not really on any particular character right now…i havent been playing as much because of school / work / etc, but when I do hop on, its on my friends account…DarkCubarican…and I still play Guy for serious matches…and for funsies im playing Hawk / Evil Ryu. Still helping people out, just more so in person rather than on boards. I was giving lessons for free for a while, but I kinda stopped. Howve you been Blood ? We havent talked in a while. I remember that night we talked on AIM and figured out all the EX Bushin / mk Tatsu tech lol

… and that’s really all I have to say. Haha. Boards have been at a steady slow pace since 2012 which is cool, my stick has pretty much completely bit the dust and I’m undergoing some pretty dumb stuff obtaining a new one. The basics.
In terms of everything non-SF, things are going good. Hectic, but that’s life.

Sup Losha ! Sucks about your stick lol and yeah, things have been a little crazy with me too. Very busy. Between finishing up my MA, work, and looking for a condo with my fiancee, things are pretty busy, but its nice to have a full day. I do miss playing competitively, but Ive got priorities. Im sure once things settle Ill be able to play considerably more. Its good to see youre still here though =)
Yeah but most of that stuff is of no use now that any low normal can beat that 1 frame grab aside from punishing those certain moves. Lk tatsu can still be useful for throws and mk for projectiles but all the risk to take :D, I barely get on AIM these days. I’m mostly on MSN or Skype. But I’ve alright, work basically until I finally get my ass back to the educational path. Attending casuals whenever I can and local tourneys. I just still play Guy, and on occasion I bring out Cody or Yang. At least I can enjoy the scene for now until school gets in the possible way.
Sup Bushinryu clan! I haven’t turned on my ps3 once this year. Been busy with things. I did see the recent stream of sfxT and it’s looking pretty good. If Guy turns out to be the badass he deserves to be, then I’ll buy it day 1. Teaming up with other people sounds like pure fun, although I doubt both players can pick the same character. Imagine 4 kens in a match if that happened lol. The gem system doesn’t seem as bad as most people thought initially.
Seems pretty well balanced and deep enough. I’ll try out raven and yoshimitsu for my shinobi team. Raven got a cool projectile. Imagine if Guy had that…
They could always give him some Final Fight 3 stuff.

Blood, people have been able to mash jab on wakeup to get out of EX Bushin setups since day 1 lol, i meant all the projectile invul stuff we found out…regardless if its useless or not…like Rufus EX Psycho being a projectile hitbox, therefore, mk tatsu would beat it…all THAT stuff lol…and the fact that EX bushin makes all throws whiff
Yeah I remember that stuff. I never get to use it anymore since no one here really plays any of those characters, I get the benefit of Viper to just walk through those burn kicks, otherwise its the normal contestants and Dieminion… Surprising enough some people don’t actually know about the jab etc on wakeup… I still manage to catch them in it. I just don’t always go for it. I just need to find a way around Dieminion’s Guile…

Isn’t mashing cr. jab unsafe though? If you time/space an elbow drop, you can get a counter hit and then combo out of that. I agree it’s mostly noobs who don’t know what they’re doing I see mashing it.
Dieminion is a beast, and he knows the Guy matchup inside out. He’s incredibly patient (a common theme with Guile players) and will lame you out all day long. The only chink in his armour I’ve found is that he occasionally gets a bit projectile happy. If you can try and stay in a safe range where MP hozanto will counter his booms, then I guess that gives you best position to get him into the corner. I think Guile is like a fish in a barrel in the corner. I’ve had real trouble with Dieminion before though, so I can totally empathise with your trouble! Don’t jump…EVER!
I guess you haven’t heard or seen my posts, but I live in CT, so NY isnt too far away. When it comes to big local tournaments here, Dieminion, Noel Brown, and Marlinpie. Have a large tendency to show up, so I’ve fought him before.
And the only way I ever counter his booms is EX Runslide, generally because you’d have to psychic his SBs for MP Hozanto. He never throws one when I’m in range to do it or if he does it’ll be EX. Also I jump in on him, but mainly to bait his cr hp and punish him for it. Though Noobtron (another Guile player from Mass) knows when to time FK so he’ll beat my elbow. On top of that those 2 are the only Guile players that have ever come to the local tournaments in my area. Dieminion also plays Guy or at least did… so that’s another nail to the coffin.
Finally 2012 for PC is out…

From the rumor mill and leak mill Guy and Cody are in the game but no leak on date but a lot are saying 1 month after release or 1 month before the vita release.
