how you guys are doing with Guy in AE? i think i win a lil bit more now but Guy still feels Incomplete to me.

fix target combo again sometimes it whiffs after only a cr.lk not @ maximum range(never use tc after x2 cr.lp)

i feel Guy is the most punishable character of the roster. he’s slow,his pressure has to many holes,special & slide unsafe as hell but i still like him.
BTW i dont know what you guys are talking about when requesting bushin izuna elbow drop more stun to combo something after it hits… because i always link a cr.lk after when i connect this move without counter hit.
So my brother, Dieminion, won’t be going to SBO after all. According to Kiryu, Nox2 will be staying in Japan for one month. I wanted my brother to at least get a chance to play some games with him especially. Most likely Nox2 will be attending NSB as well.

I wanted to see him perform well with a character that has been nerfed considerably (Guile).
So who goes in his place then? It was clear at EVO that LiJoe and Dieminion were good friends so that team looked like it had great synergy.

I’m not that impressed with the updated Guy changes, their good but I was expecting more. The changes I liked are: Throw Range increased, Running Overhead doesn’t whiff much on crouchers, Neutral Jump Hp has a bigger hitbox, Ex Tatsu is a better anti-air and Walk Back Speed increased (more defensive now). These changes were needed on day 1. Guys corner pressure and anti-air game is going to be a little better now. I was mostly impressed by the Cody buffs, more so his walk speed increase. We’ll take it, just expected more.
Overall the changes are ok.Nothing game changing though.I’m really hating SF4 though, the more I play it. I dont like how the game is so low damage and everything in general is scaled to shit. I also dont like how you absolutely have to learn safe jump setups and option selects. In SFIV after I learn a safejump setup, I really dont feel any better with myself. The way you learn that shit is so mechanical and boring compared to my main game which is MVC3. I get so much joy when I find a new DHC setup, or anti tech roll technology, or a tick/air throw setup that leads into massive damage. I go from one game where one cr.m with taskmaster leads into 850,000 damage to SFIV, where the best I can do is whiff punish someone for like 20 damage. Characters like Rufus, Yun and Yang also really annoy me and I dont know where to even start against the twins. You literally have to go random against the twins, and hope you land a safe setup because if you give them any breathing room after knocking them down they are gonna escape with their braindead reversals.
In SFIV, I believe you have to put too much work into the boring stuff, even if in your mind you know you’re a player that can make good reads and has good fundamentals.Whats the point of having those two good qualities if the people who win at these games are the people who just put the most effort into option selects and unblockable setups, that almost make the game play itself.
I hope SFxT turns out to have much more freedom, as Guy will be a fun character in that game.

It sounds like safe jumps shoud work even against shotos if you can air grab and land in time to block if they don’t uppercut.
I guess we should trust the official translation. It should help his mix up game and you can build meter faster with lp bushin flip if the opponent isnt attacking. Empty bushin to U2 might be a useful gimmick
Know your matchups, How to punish and punish hard, Spacing when it comes to footsies, when to take a Ground or Air approach respectively, Know when to rush down/ be conservative, What to use for anti airs, lastly learn how to TK Izuna especially for character that may take to the air often, Obtain a fast reaction, a great mixup game and of course patience.

I haven’t been playing on XBL for about 3 weeks. I won’t be playing online in a long while. I played Guy under ‘EMP GODS ARC’ on XBL. Stopped at 4th right under Kiryu and Nox2. It was a fun grind but since the disbandment of Empire Arcadia’s fighting division I won’t have the ability to play online. Once I settle in with this job, I’ll be attending tourneys again. Couldn’t make it to SummerJam. I have some really good replays vs. Wolfkrone, Latif and tons of other top players. I will try to record and upload soon.
