I had the most fun I’ve ever had yesterday! Albert I’m really sorry I couldn’t help set-up with you guys but you know my reasons; and next time I’ll be there with my asus+games for sure. :\
Feedback: 9.5/10 for sure. Only thing I didn’t like was the space (I actually expected it to be even smaller, so I guess this was okay) and it got a little loud, I got a headache and once I gave Eph some asprin a few other people asked me for some. :[ Aside from that, Choi ran a seamless SSFIV tournament at a venue which surprisingly complied with 100% of our requests. Having the stream matches up on the bar tvs was sick too. Despite the space, Albert chose a great venue (and there isn’t a more appropriate place to hold a public KS2 gathering than a bar haha).
Parker: you’re a really good person for taking care of drunk people. I don’t put up with it but I know if it ever happened to me, you’d do the same. <3 <3 <3!!
Other Parker: Thanks for letting me borrow your stick all the time and allowing me to bug you with Rog questions.
Ryan and Vance: Good shit.
Haunts & Co. : Amazing stream. Obviously I was there and didn’t watch it, but I know it was amazing.
Jared and Shelby: You guys are AWESOME! We gotta hang out more. I appreicate the advice you gave me and I’ll see if I can make things happen.

it was alot of fun doing this event and the san jose bar and grill loved everything you guys did for them. next time this shit will be bigger and better, so if you enjoyed the shit out of this one, you owe it to anyone you know who likes fighting game to drag them to the next one.

I ended up having to leave early because I fucked up my back royally propping up Albert’s dead weight and holding him up by his ass crack, literally.
This event had some of the best matches of the year IMO. Lots of fun last night thanks to KSII! Will try to go to the next one as well!
Great shit all! This was my first event in a couple months and damn was it a way to come back! Much love to every one I played tourny or casuals.
The venue was dope and hella packed. You know you’re doing something when that many people show up to show love. So bomb having the stream matches on the TVs over the bar and projected on the back wall. That’s how every event should be haha matches playing right next to MLB and other pro sports.

Did anyone happen to pick up a purse when you guys were cleaning up? We left abruptly because I drank too much and we live an hour away, it has two prints - red on top and light blue background with red flowers on the bottom.

Thanks to Albert, John, Haunts and everyone else involved with this event. It seemed like a really big success! Sorry I couldn’t stay longer, or even play for that matter (I donated $10 bucks for a wristband though lololol), but I’ve been taking a break from SF related stuff while I focus on getting my work life in order. Things are looking up so I shouldn’t be out of commission for too much longer.
Miranda: Likewise. Thank you for making it acceptable to drag my girlfriend to a fighting game related function ;D I’ll have to send you an XBL invite so we can play Reach.
This was a REALLY good tournament. So many casual setups, and there were enough setups for the tournament too. The place was really packed but really exciting to be in. Good shit to Keystone for hosting because it was really tough to be getting around and organizing everything.
And I know this doesn’t really matter and all because I was basically the only one NOT 21, but I did feel kinda salty for being kicked out of the bar early for being ID’d and told not to go back in because I was only 18. All I did was just put my stuff away for two seconds and all of a sudden the rules changed. I felt a bit cheated out of my $10.
All in all, it was a good first time event and I hope to see more when Keystone has more public events.

For real though, there was some weirdness towards the end with the door. I dunno…SJ might have a curfew thing going on with bars or maybe the place just doesn’t want underage people in there passed a certain time? I don’t think anyone knew that was going to happen. Hell, I was banished to the club-style rope line like a doggy hoe during clean up…and the dude at the front door saw me carrying equipment out like 5 seconds earlier. >:)

But yeah the guy up front told me that they were trying to get all the underage people to get out. And I was like “But I AM the only underaged guy,” and he was all like “Then I did a pretty good job.” I don’t know, I was just hoping for them to kick me out AFTER the whole event and not right before the finals. And I just wanted to play some more since events where hella people come in just rarely happens.
