Tournament at KS this Friday with special rules.

$5 entry. Top 3 split the pot 70/20/10 and each also win a shot of Patron (or whatever liquor is available)
Double elimination
1 game sets with rebuy rule in effect. (see below for details)
The tournament is capped at 32 players
Winners/losers finals will be 2of3. Grand finals will be 3of5 with no rebuys allowed for those 3 finals.

8PM CvS2
9:30PM SF3 3S

Rebuy rule: You may pay $1 to rebuy in once per opponent. So for example, Daigo and Nuki face off in the tournament. It’s single game sets so they play one game and Daigo beats Nuki. At this point, Nuki can take the loss and go into the loser’s bracket, or he can pay $1 to rebuy in the tournament and face Daigo again. Nuki pays $1 to play Daigo and wins this game. The same goes for Daigo at this point and he can take the loss and go into loser’s or he can elect to rebuy for $1 and play Nuki again. They play and this time Nuki wins again. At this point, both players used up their 1 rebuy per opponent so the set is done and Nuki advances. The rebuy option is reset for the next opponent.

1 Rebuy is allowed for every new opponent except in winners, losers, and grand finals which it is not allowed.

The rebuy pot will go back to the players in the form of booze, cigs, and loose women. (editor’s note, please bring your own loose women)

Note that this is a trial run. If the tournament is a success we can make this a regular thing. We can also add more games in.

Even though I just started cvs2 I’d like to be in the tourny for it, but I get off at 7:30 and I’m driving from Menlo Park… Should be there between 8-830… Anyway, can I still enter?

just to confirm, rebuys will not go back into the main pot, but there will be a ‘side-pot’ and will be used buy alcohol and cigarettes for the players… hopefully it can be used for some tacos or something too.

rebuys will definitly make things interesting. we’ll be able to see who thinks who can beat who by all the rebuy requests. hahahaha.

that makes the tourney a potential 2/3 with additional pay. hmmmmm. maybe it’s better to just make it 2/3 instead so it doesnt’ hurt everyone’s pockets so much.

oh well, whatever the rules, i’m complying with it fully. it will definitely be fun. GOGOGO.
