ssf4 is fun, easy to play,but hard to master. I don’t know why some of you dont’ like it.
To each their own but why come here knowing people are about some ssf4 right now and hate? It’s pointless…I mean don’t get me wrong 3s and mvc2 are amazing games but like someone said before they are very old so there’s only going to be a limited amount of people playing it hardcore. So get with the program or just don’t play ssf4…it’s pretty simple…
Hopefully mvc3 will unite our community more… it just sucks that certain people can’t get into ssf4 bc to me it the best modern fighting game out.
P.s. Let’s not forget KoF13 either bc that shit is looking ballin’…can’t wait for console release.
KFC Robz: I don’t think the “old” KIts have been around for awhile, there have been two here since I moved here 3 and a half years ago…I just think it’s crazy all the players we have coming to us and most of the guys up there played Blazblue and came and left…
I mean, even ST, we had SBO quals, how many KY players showed? A whopping 1. Even with MVC2 people didn’t come here…MVC3 is just a different breed and always will be, just not a “true” SF game and a different skill set, but to each his own…it will bring numbers though, no doubts on that…MVC3 is still many months off…
I try to come support the arcade as much as I can Jason, you might not realize it because all 3 of the times i’ve made it down you’ve been out of town/elsewhere. The KY scene that was coming down for BB is SUPER scattered now, which is why no one has been coming down. Couple of them in Cinnci, few in Seattle, one in Atl, me still in Lexington, etc.
I was dying to make it down for ST quals, but had engagements the week before and after and just couldnt justify the $$$ (sat/sun are the days I work because of school, so its a double whammy on cash for me to take weekends off).
I wish I liked sf4, but it honestly does next to nothing for me. I have a ton more fun playing ST or Vampire than link jab to sweep/ultra fighter. I really tried to enjoy it, but theres a lot of things that drive me nuts about the engine

More or less. I’m on Peaceful Jay’s a lot if you’re interested. It’s the only half decent way of leveling up with no real KY scene. This tournament at UK might be worth checking out, though.

It looks like I’m heading up to Season’s Beatings after all, but would greatly appreciate it if anyone could lend a fellow a PS3 stick for the event. I’ll gladly exchange for my 360 stick as collateral if necessary. It’s just the only one I got, and the SSF4 tournament is all PS3!

As long as it plugs up to the PS3 I don’t mind even taking my buttons/stick out of my 360 one to piece it together.

I’m sorry man. It would have been a dream for me to come down during that time period and play just for the honor being in SBO by extension. I just could not get off of work for it.
There are at least 4 highly skilled ST players in Lexington. Myself, Ray, Steve, and Chase. If you choose to hold the qualifier next year I hope we can all make it.

I play SSF4, BB, SSBM, and a very small amount GGAC(MagicTG anyone?). I want to learn MvC2/3 but I think i need someone that can teach me the basics first. Really I will play anything lol. I moved down here for college and I would kill for some good friends/players. The closer the better since I wont have a car till prob Feb.
