Hey guys. My good friend is hosting a tournament here in Richmond, Kentucky. He’s got a flyer ready for the information, but as I can’t put it in here, I’ll list the main details:
When: Friday, February 24th at 6:00 PM
Where: Richmond Underground Gaming Center located at 292 S. 2nd Street
Entry fee: $4.00. Half of everyone’s entry fee will be added to a prize pool!
Console: We will be using Xbox 360 consoles. B.Y.O.C. Bring Your Own Controller! If your controller is incompatible with the Xbox 360 system, we will have the regular Xbox 360 controller pads available. We will NOT have extra arcade stick controllers available.
Rules: We will be running standard fighting game tournament rules. The tournament will be double elimination consisting of a winners and losers bracket. Each match will be a best of 3. The winners finals, losers finals, and grand finals will be a best of 5.
Any questions that I can’t answer I’ll forward on to him for clarification. I hope you guys can find the time to get out here. It’s a cheap entry to support a local place.
aw man, i don’t know anyone from Kentucky… but if it’s any consolation i used to live there… anyway… I’ve got a fairly big tournament going down up here in Indianapolis … post SuperBowl apocalypse on Feb. 25th and 26th
we’ve got prizes and medals, sponsors and food, and a full event stream. We’ll be holding tournaments for almost everything; AE, UMvC3, ST, 3S, MK, KOF13, GG, and a few others … I know i’m fairly late in letting everyone know, but put the word out, if you can make it up to compete for the weekend please do, we always have a good time

I’m pretty sure it will only be Marvel, but we will be playing other games. I’ll bring Soul Calibur 5 as well. Also, my apartment is open to gaming after and before the tournament. I live close to the venue so you’re not going out of your way to get here, and I’m right at the interstate if you’re stopping in or heading out. I’ve got AE, SC5, and UVMC3 on the 360. I’ve got 2 360 sticks as well, though my old SE has seen its days and I don’t recommend anyone using it if they can avoid it.

Been a while since I have posted in here. As far as updates, I am moving to Park City within a week or two, I will frequent Bowling Green and sometimes go to Murray to visit my friends. I am also willing to travel to Lexington/Louisville provided I have a place to crash for the night at the very least.
Just a reminder on this. I really hope some of you can come out. My apartment will be open for games before and after the event as well. I’ll have Marvel, 2012, and SC5 at the apartment. It’s spacious enough to host everyone that comes out to the tournament.

I’m still in Richmond, yup. Going to school here so I’ll be stuck in this town for a while.
I am mostly a Marvel player, but I have played plenty of SF4 in the past and I’m getting started on SC5.
I’m also in Glasgow if you ever need a few games.
I may be moving to park city some time soon, correct me if I am wrong but I believe that is somewhat close to Glasgow.
Driving distance, yeah. Best player I know from that area is lolpenguinlol; probably the best player I’ve gotten to play an extended set with, actually.
When I did play (I have been busy; I wanna get into more games…) it was almost exclusively in Bowling Green, which is still driving distance.
Real talk, though. I’m in Bowling Green on Mondays and Fridays from 9 until noon doing nothing while I wait for class. I could be able to get some games in, then.
Yeah, I have played Jacob quite a bit, I will be frequenting BG often when I move. I would like to expand my horizons though, so if you ever feel like games, hit me up man.
