can you explain the c.lk os kara throw for me? I’m highly interested in this.
The regular safe jump loses to EX tornado throw, OS’d with grab it beats Falling Sky.
Make your meaty j.hp hit a bit Higher and it stuffs EX tornado throw but beaten by Falling sky.
So choose wisely.
Am not sure if there is an area between these 2 to have the option of stuffing Tornado throw AND safe jumping falling sky, am gonna test REAL soon.
ImaginVC, I appreciate the idea but i think a video each weak is a bit extreme. I think plain text is better and less SpoonFeedish if you know what i mean, and you don’t have to go through all the trouble. But hey if you’re gonna do it, It’s cool, I know everyone will help you with any question you have :).
something that i learnd tryna find an os against rog.basicaly u do c.lk and time the kara throw to be a chain with the s.lp so on blok u get c.lk st lp on wiff u get kara throw fairly simple

Oh so the st.lp has more priority in the scenario than kara throw? Interesting, gonna mess with this asap.
its not that the lp has priority its jus how the games chain system wurks if your chaining anything inbetween wont come out if the short wiffs theres no chain so u get a kara throw i forget if u get s.lp or s.lk cus i havnt used the os in awile but i know it works on abel well lol

Since everybody is now airborn after backdashes wat os could we use on chun li and anybody else that os kara throw was effective on

st.mp buffer kara f.srk? not sure but it seems possible. I’m gonna be trying cr.lk os st.roundhouse. basically do cr.lk then hit st.lk and roundhouse at the same time with chain timing. cr.lk whiffs st.roundhouse comes out, etc etc.

Cr. Lk chained into st. lk+mk. If she doesn’t back dash, st. lk will come out and you’ll be able to do either a cr. jab, cr. mp, or st. lp into shoryu. If she blocks, you’ll be in perfect range to kara throw. If she back dashes, you’ll catch her with ex tatsu.

Alright so I’ve been tryin out everything so far and nothing seems to work her back dash is just too fast and far. Iam thinking maybe os super might work but that’s using all ur meter on one thing.

There never were any grounded OS’es that worked well on Chun, you can only effectively OS from a jump in.
OS sweep and OS fierce DP work fine from jump ins. Didn’t realise Chun’s dash had changed, but these both still work. Grounded OS’es just aren’t effective enough against her huge backdash.

I think.os sweep works against chun now since it got buffed but ur c.lk or clp has to b really deep and meety.i use os stepkik and os s.rh against her tho jus cuz alot of chuns will backdash and sweep and if she does that she gets ch

Ya I think a really meaty os might cuz it was kinda working when I time it a little too early. and if I can’t time it right I guess os step kick to continue pressure is better than nothing.

I’m having trouble with some meaty OSs.
- meaty low short OS EX tatsu. I keep getting EX tatsu coming out even during blocked/hit low short. I messed around with timings and the problem is still there.
My inputs: Down+LK, QCB+LP+MK+HK
- meaty low short OS fierce shoryu. Again, on blocked low short sometimes the shoryu comes out, and I can’t seem to get the 2 low shorts when the first low short is blocked. I tried low short OS kara shoryu (LK plinked with HP), and this has given me better results because on block, I end up with low short stand short chain.
My inputs: Down+LK, DF, D, DF + LK + HP
Kara method: Down+LK, DF, D, DF, F+LK~HP
If anyone can help me out that would be wonderful.

Do you use any button assignments?
For OS EX tatsu, I use the following inputs:
d+lk, db, b+kkk (or lk+mk)
You have to remember that the OS timing is slower than the cancel timing and it’s on the limits of the chain timing, right towards the end of the recovery frames. Plus, cl.st.lk doesn’t whiff on anyone, unlike cl.st.lp so don’t bother trying to press the lp button. cl.st.lk has the same frame advantage as a cr.lp so it’s just as useful and all the same link and combo options are still available.
Not sure why you’re struggling with the DP one though, probably just doing the input too soon again. It happens to me sometimes too when I rush it in a panic!!
