i think i will main ken, really like his combo options off that v trigger cancel

I never understood why everyone was crying bout lights. I mean we knew 4 a while that they were gonna b removed, then it happened and everyone went crazy.

In the beta (1.04) Ken can crossup low tatsu but doesnt combo on hit ( it does with v trigger)

st lk has the same range as cr mk.

air ex tatsu feels like garbage.

the run cancel useless too many recovery frames.

he can still link lp lp lk SRK

Target combo is amazing and it links with cr mp or standing lp.

Even though I’ve been harsh on ken , maybe even as you guys said prematurely, I’m hyped to try him out in the beta

im impressed with how close to the ground you can do dive kick and then start juggling.

after crush counter you can run to jab and combo, what can you do after that?

ex air tatsu doesnt juggle during v trig?

Yeah man, feels like there’s tons of ways to cancel into super. I have a few BnBs down but haven’t gotten a match yet. And DevilJin said it was current build, I believe. He’s definitely fun.

Just saw on joes stream that his tatsu in vtrigger completely negates fireballs, it just absorbs them as he moves

If this is current build hello 3S Ken. Have you seen his footsie options? Cr.mk, st.lk are all super easy buffers into either super or EX.DP for whiff punishing. I’m monstering it up in the lab because matchmaking seems to be broken and I’m just checking footsie tools, he lacks range but his buttons are so solid

so v-trigger makes more links after run cancel stand ferece possible, such as target combo xx fierce dp! dang

after non-vtrigger run cancel s.HP I can getlp and mp DP to link , but not fierce DP, and not his standing jab. so his stand jab is like 5 frames? and his crouch jab is at least faster than or equal to

Why did they remove cross-up tatsu? Makes zero sense to me, considering lack of hard knockdowns the tool has lost a lot of potential anyway. Casual pandering?

I have had instances where his target combo doesnt reach after crmp. Am I missing the timing of it or something?

cr.lk - cr.lk - confirm into DP

cr.mp - confirm into st.lk - l.tatsu/m.tatsu(Distancing)

cr.mk - fireball(Spaced)

cr.mk - buffer super/EX DP

b.mp - confirm into TC - h.tatsu

st.lk - buffer super/EX DP

st.lp - buffer EX DP

st.lp - b.mp - confirm into tatsu/dp/super

cr.lk - tick throw

st.hp - run - cr.lp - l.tatsu - EX DP(Shamelessly taking this as my own)

I’ve only been on around 10 minutes so sorry for super simple stuff, I’ll look for something interesting.
