seriously these forums have gone to hell. Nobody posts anything good anymore, besides the Almost competely useless forum, which i actually like, some of that shit is worth using in a match, after all there is no knowledge that isn’t power.
ain’t that the fucking truth. i think everybody in general lately is just bitter and it’s starting to permeate here. i’ve noticied it with the people i work with, the people i deal with at work, friends at school… just, everybody in general seems to be less happy since say… 2003 or so…
This is insane. The WHOLE POINT of these forums is bringing out new things. If you actually CARE about people stealing your shi’t, then you a childish and insecure. You play the game to get better, you share what you know, someone else uses it in a better way, new things come out of it, the whole community benefits. Everyone has a dumb moment on shoryuken, and that’s a fact, but your case isn’t too good. I’ve figured out a 100% unblockable combo with Sentinel using the Strider assist, yet I manage to tell people and help others out. Stop thinking about yourself too much.
Nobody is obligated to share something that might help them out where it really matters(in a tourney match)

Aww man, don’t beat up on him. If you happen to disagree, then fine but there is no need for name calling and such. Keep that to yourself. All he did was ask a matter of an opinion aside from what he thinks; whether you agree or disagree. That’s one of the main reasons why no one posts anything anymore is because the minute they do, someone will come on here and say so-and-so should die and rot; then the thread completely changes from what it was SUPPOSED to be due to a flame war.
Anyway, I would have say that sharing ideas is what makes the community grow because you can always bounce them off of someone else. They may come up with things you never thought of and maybe teach you a little something. The point is to apply it to your style of play and progress; not mimic one’s style to win a tourney. Problem is people take these fighting games way too serious. It is just a game after all, but to some their life has no direction outside of games.

So far you’ve done 2 things to hurt the scene, as well as being a typical marvel scrub that knows a couple of things and thinks he has the right to talk down to someone learning the game who has a view on how silly your posts are.
See those 2 red bars? That means that your posts (regardless of how you act in real life) on this forum are bad/not useful/stupid/trollish.
I hope you can turn around and be a postive hit to the scene, but I highly doubt that with the way you seem to think.

As Parry said, that was really cold. Take a look at what you’ve said, and what you have been saying with all of your posts. Then, take a look at the reponses that have garnished. Now ask yourself, have you really been helping? or hurting?
Also, the top players, all have great execution. They are trying to do the same thing: GET DAMAGE. The ones with the best execution, can get the biggest damage. This is why J Wong, and other greats win tournaments, they do not mess up. They don’t need that many combos to win, they just need to hit them when they need to hit.
As for this copying, are you that emo that you wanna go and make a thread and say “wah mommy, clock stole shit i’ve been doing fifty million years ago wah wah wah, and now people are stealing my combos so i don’t wanna tell dem nething nemor wah wah?”. You should know, that marvel is like football in a sense. When an 11-0 football team gets beat, the other teams will get the tape of what that team did to beat the previously undefeated team. Marvel is the same way. When people find something that benefits their style of play, they will learn it to make their style better.
Which leads to this: Everyone on these boards has/is developing a style of their own. Everyone who is playing marvel, has their own style. These styles of play come from the compilation of things they have seen, witnessed and been taught over the years. So, everything that has been discovered, and taught to others over the years will eventually be recycled in these new age styles of play. So I’m saying it is inevitable to basically “keep something to yourself”, other than just not doing it at all.
So, stop this please, what you have done is just gotten a bunch of flames, and a lot of not nice words. But, if you insist on continuing this, and flaming players who are trying to learn…

wow Im not going to even attempt this anymore. just gonna clear a few things up.
I wasnt crying about clock stealing my shit lol. I was just saying I found out some stuff on my own that he already knew and MAYBE I could of gotten the credit for it if I jumped on the scene at the same time he did. Im not even sure if I made it up before him. Besides I never said what of his I said I saw on those videos. parryperson jumped right on me and called it basic.
I also said if your being taped why not just use the bare minimum to beat the person. That way its possible to save some of what you know. If I could, id try to beat that person with what is already known. Even if someone gets a hold of the match they really dont get anything out of it. Playing live is different however. Somethings will be stolen then. If I were to play someone easy in a tournie I wouldnt show what I had. I’d save it for someone better.
I didnt say that I wanted to keep these forever. Thats impossible. I just wanted to try to use them to my advantage for as long as possible. The thread was just merely a way to see if anyone else thought of the same thing. obviuosly not.
sep 2nd is too close for me to make it but jacksonville is having a tourney in october possibly. If we get people to come well do it. Even if we end up not having it, I’m definetly going to final round this year so ill see you sooner or later
