Kauai thread free discussion

Team Blunt has been retired pretty much for a long while…however WE STILL WRECK SHIT UP IN GAMES AND THROW THE BEST G2G’S AND PARTIES OUTTA THE GAMING CREW IN HAWAII!

Sam’s shit is from a song… I don’t think you ever saw Sam play. And try just watchin and see what you learn… not all things can be taught young padawans. Learn the tech before the RC. That’s what seperates Ernest from somebody that knows how to RC.

yah man thats true i learned that lesson the hard way. my ass still gets poked out though

allyn the mail man is coming with your stick and a dick to suck on nah man j/k call me when you get it.

So very true, in so many ways.

i cant wait to face you again ducky $20.00 match again?

Buy me $20 of booze and I’m down.

Allen: How much was the stick and let me know when you get it in, I can’t wait to see some pictures of it. Also let me know what kind of stick, buttons etc.

Im currently in the market for a new stick. I need a PSX TACTICAL MOBILE ASSAULT "stick for EVO 2006. Let me know how it goes with the one you bought.

i dont know if i can get the booze but i’ll play for $20.00.

NO BOOZE NO PLAY, BEN. NO BOOZE, NO PLAY. Hahahaha, whatever man. I don’t really care. Let’s play some drinking games while you’re down here though… a shot after every lost character or something lol.

alright i’ll bring a bucket i have a low alcohol tolerance level.

…you pansy. Take it like a man.

whats going today fellas? anyone going down?

sorry guys im not going down today i work.

the stick costed me 150. not a very high end kind of stick. sanwa everything and an american layout but the default buttons got fucked. roundhouse is a fierce and the joystick is really loose and trippy. plus the pic didn’t come out how i wanted it to. i have to tell the guy about it. i think i’m going byrdo next like ducky.

Ouch sorry to hear that. Where did you get that stick from?

Another option would be going with MAS sticks. A lot of us here have those.

www.massystems.com

Go with a perfect 360 + convex buttons. Thats another good option but again like I said before, if you like a different style stick or buttons then go with what ever you feel comfortable with.

aww man im sorry to hear that dude. i want another stick too because i want something i can carry around and my jpg stick stays home. i think i’ll go with a mas stick i like the design. allyn atleast you have a stick to practice. i really like how my jpg stick works, works really awesome but i dont recomend it because it took so long to get it and so many lies that mofo told me.

tourney info: i work the whole week but im still running the tourney and i’ll sleep on friday i hope to see you guys there. side note: bring some food

mas sticks look pretty tight. anyone that has a mas stick please write a small review if possible.

Damn - Dreaded Fist is known for having very solid work all the way… I would definitely ask him about it. The art is always an iffy thing unless you’re good in photoshop though, since it streches out and whatever when it prints.

Sanwa sticks are normally pretty loose though - they don’t have stiff springs like American sticks, and are generally preferred because they are “looser” and have less travel to hit the microswitch. It is definitely a change from the American sticks that have springs, but Sanwa and the ball top style sticks have a lot less travel, so they are normally loose. Not much you can do about it. Unlike American style sticks, there aren’t really different spring strengths… have you ever played on a Tekken 5 or my Sanwa stick? Loose but very responsive, which is why a lot of players prefer them. Compare it to using a baseball bat to make a kill compared to using a scapel… Sanwa sticks aren’t as forgiving with motions.

Darkside (www.byrdo.net) doesn’t normally just make sticks on request, though… you have to wait until he sells on of his sticks that he makes. Expect the bidding for them to go well over 200, and for a Sanwa Flash JLF, expect to pay upwards of 250. Well worth every penny, though.

I got one from Matt, but the PCB died. It happens sometimes with MAS sticks. They are big and solid sticks, the best American style sticks available commercially, IMO. The PCB is not converter friendly though, since MAS uses their own type of PCB, which might be another reason they die sometimes (don’t trip about this too much because even if it ever happens, most cases I’ve read happen after a few years). Matt’s configuration suggestion is probably the best. If you really like American style sticks and a big, solid box, you can’t go wrong with a MAS stick. If you prefer Japanese style controls, like myself, stick to Hori Real Arcade type sticks.

i like that byrdo stick i think it was the ghost its the all white one. three button by three button lay out (american style button layout.to bad they are one of a kind. thats the stick i would like to use in console battles at allyns house. i gotta get use to the ball sticks though. http://www.byrdo.org/arcade_joysticks.htm

Allyn: when is a good time to have some console battles?
