News flash - that’s the problem. Almost everybody posting here is a defective douche-wipe; I thought all the posturing and ass-kissing would’ve stopped after PSX visited but it really seems like the most vocal members of the Garden Isle’s CVS2 scene are just interested in sucking each other’s dicks telling each other how their games are the shits when it’s completely obvious within their own scene that they suck.
It’s one thing to admit they suck compared to PSX or other outside players (that’s the proven truth) but when one of them criticizes another player honestly and that player gets all defensive about his own shitty game it just smacks of that village mentality so pervasive in Hawai`i holding everybody’s face down in scrubdom.
Kiha might… -MIGHT-… get better. I don’t see it happening though sadly. He has the drive, yes, but he always blames somthing other then himself for his losses, and that will make ANY player a bad player in the end.
As for the size of our scene… sadly, once people get better, it depends on the people joining the scene. Think about it, when we first started, we were all at the same level pretty much right? We have excelled, we have evolved and sadly, people have dropped off. Evolution is the key to survival and sadly, some people don’t make it to the next generation. So new commers will have to evolve QUICKLY or at least be ready to take a beating to join the higher ups. Back then, it was 1 or 2 games of practice and tourny one, here we come! We’re willing to teach, but hey, go around to random people that want to learn DDR, show them what I can do and tell them I’ll teach them and see what happens. They quit before it even starts. Size up the competition with someone that’s almost as fresh at the game, but knows some tips, and they will play together. All in all… it’s our LOWER TIER that will make our scene bigger. Less intimidating, less difficult, making new commers welcome.
But know this: The skill gap is pretty large… if our low tier doesn’t make the jump, they may break off and form another crowd of CVS2 players (ben and allyn probally notices the second crowd and so do I), which is good and bad. All I know is this: I don’t plan to stop playing any time soon. As long as players like PSX, Ducky, Ben, Allyn, Buktooth and the like are still playing and evolving, why quit right? :tup:

We do in fact suck compared to the rest of the CVS2 community up there on oahu and probally everywhere else where CVS2 is played often. In fact, yes, we would be concidered scrubs by your terms. But straight up…
Why do you want to start somthing? Smear our names? Rub us in the dirt and tell us to toss each others salads and shit? We knew since day one that we didn’t stand a chance vs upper level players. So you know what, you win that: We suck. Period.
But I’ll tell you what. If you size up everything else we got, for example; LIKEABLE personalitys and HUMBLE egos that isn’t over inflated from putting down ‘scrubs’ that are trying to become proficiant at a game they JUST STARTED.
