Tonight we feature a series of grudge matches in Tekken Tag Tournament 2 - the “Put up or STFU” FT5 Round Robin between BoxBroSG, PR Feng, and prod1gital - live from Castle Smaxiom. Mr. Mister could not be in attendance tonight, but he’ll be playing his matches tomorrow at House of Plagues.

GROUND RULES :
- Games will begin at 5 PM. Games will end at 10 PM.
- Bring setups, power strips, your own equipment, etc.
- BUY something. We are getting the conference space free of charge, and we are welcome here, but this is a test run to see how we progress at this venue going forward. So let’s give the shop an incentive to want us there every week.
- Take care of your barista staff. If you make the people taking care of you happy, they’ll be more motivated to let us keep the shop open longer for games.
- Keep loud, profane language to a minimum. Even though the room is pretty good at keeping things quiet to the shop, it’s not TOTALLY soundproof. It IS a family establishment. Good times are encouraged, but screaming curse words is not.
- Don’t bring in outside food and drinks. We sell all that at the shop.
TOURNAMENTS :
Since this is a test run, we have no idea what people want to do with these, but it looks like we’re going to start with $2 entry fee for the tournaments. Would people prefer $5 tournies? Free tournies? What’s the consensus here? We don’t have any incentives set up just yet for people, but we’re working on something to the effect of gift cards. If we’re going to be here spending money on a weekly basis anyway, we want to reward people for showing up and showing interest.
IN THE FUTURE :
The first gathering is a total prototype. We just want to see what people are interested in as far as tournaments, what games we’re playing, and how much turnout we get.
We can comfortably accommodate 20.
We can go up to 30. If we exceed 30, we’re pushing it.
We’re open to suggestions, and we’ll try to develop incentives for people who come out. In the meantime, any tournaments we run will count as a ranbat season and we’ll keep track of results.
What games do people want to play?
