Fun tourney and we need to do it again. If we do decide to let the winner to take the pot let the person who got second get alteast the entry fee money as a prize(consolation…whatever) like we did in the Marvel tourney. $2 whoo hoo:D !

After seeing Eddie own with S-Groove I thought I’d try it out. S-Groove Terry/Vega/Eagle. Vega doesnt really have any good dodge moves ,but i like him with run and low jump.
Apparently you guys are missing the whole point of this tournament thing. How about we only hold cvs2 tournies, so that Eddie and Chris take home your money every week. That way you will get why we don’t want to have tournies for money. I would have entered the mvc2 tournament if I knew that my money wasn’t going to Chris. We are in the process of coming up with a prize to win instead of money. I wouldn’t feel right if Eddie took my entry fee home with him every week. Can anyone who comes over honestly say that they need the entry money for food, or to live. I didn’t think so. Greed is a powerful foe. I’m pretty sure that if people would enter an mvc2 tourny everyday of the week, that Chris would hold one everyday of the week, because I don’t think that there is a local person who could beat him. And that way Chris would be taking home a lot of cash. But eventually a tourny wouldn’t seem like a good idea to those who lose, but would remain a good idea to Chris. Instead of holding a tournament, why not have you (Carlos), and you (Chris) get together and play for money in cvs2. Then lets see how long Carlos would think that was a good idea.
The point is, if you need money that bad get a job.

ST didn’t take long, so we should do that too. As for the whole money issue, we could charge about 1.50 and by snack and with the extra money buy a little prize for first place. Or we could charge 1.00 and not give first place shit, it don’t matter to me, as long as I get to play coughYamazaki is GAY!cough. Anyway the touny was fun, congrats to Eddie for first with S, and big ups to Aric for representin’ some S-groove too. I agree that money should be spent on food. While watching matches I just drank coke and ate doritos. Chris is the only one who seems to want to play for money.

We are leaving friday morning at 4:45 a.m. :eek: to go pick up our ST cabinet. From my calculations, we won’t be back until 4:00p.m. We will probably start at 8:00p.m. (BE PUNCTUAL). You can come over early for practice or what ever. I know when I get back I’m taking at least an hour nap.

i think the tourneys from now on should be 1st 70% 2nd 30% bc everyone knows whos the best in evey game…so its more like whos going to get second in the tourney…ex:: 3s. everyone should know by now that eddie would take our money without even trying…but who will come out second is the question…just like mvc2 im going to take your money but for getting second…at least your going to get some of the pot…and who knows someone else might get first…? i think we should have 3s and whatevers this week… what do you guys want to have this week…?
Alright, here’s what i think. The tourny should be about $1-2, if we go on with getting a prize it should be $2. We should use the money on snacks and save the left over money for a prize, after we have enough saved for a prize, we can go out and buy something for 1st and 2nd. We should not have a prize every week tho, we should only do the tourny with the prize about once a month, probly the last week of the month (if we do this weekly). That way we can buy snacks and save a little here and there for the prize at the end of the month. That could be our ghetto “major” tourny at Eddie’s or Phil nd Aric’s house. As for doing it for money, unless there is a decent amount of money for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd, we shouldn’t do it. That’s because it would be fairer that way because everyone has a chance at 3rd, while 2nd and 1st is a bit harder to do (tho not impossible). Which means if we play for money we will either raise the entry fee, or invite other people. Even so, remember the main purpose of this all is to have fun and ready us for the Houston tournies. So, pretty much we should stick to the drinks and snacks. Marvel sucks.:lol

this week we should have a random cvs2 team tourney…its just going to be random numbers pulled out of the bag…and who ever you get partenred up with then thats your partner…you both have to deside on you groove, who getting the r2 and the r1’s…that would be tight…like ex if b0k and ragingS got put to gether…they got to decide what groove…one playes c-groove and one plays n-groove…thats shit twould be tight…so what do you guys think…?
That in theory is a good idea, but it actually isn’t. It wouldn’t be a good idea because of what you said. I use N, James uses C, neither one of us is at full potential using the others grooves. Now if I got teamed with Eddie, it would be okay because he can play any groove, but if I got teamed with Aric, he only uses S. Also me and James both use Bison, so who would get him? See what I mean, it’s not all that great of an idea. As V.C. says " Well it looked good on paper."
If your’re looking to do something a little different in the tourney we could try doing round robin. That way everyone gets a chance to play everybody.
In ST since there are gonna be 2 machines (assuming phil and aric get the cabinet) in which we can play we can make it best 2 out of 3.
In CvS2 make it single match because the matches will take longer if it best 2 out of 3. The top 2 people who rack up the most wins play in the finals in a best of 3 out of 5.

yea…after reading that little article of kyo, it really got me interested in him…he kinda like the mokoto of the game…you got to know how to play him for him to be top tier…kyo in k-groove is too good…bc his super takes of alot…all you got to do is…land a shortx3 then the kicks into the super…

Chris G: Foward+hard punch has very good priority, and it is supposed to be hard to wake-up on. That combo you trying to do is easy, just time the dp+mk so both kicks barely hit the opponent. Yup, that combo alone does half-life…:evil:
