regional practice

What up ya’ll I know it’s been a while since I posted but yea we need to practice for the tourney, I’ll try to come to k-town in the next couple of weeks but i just started my new job so it might be kinda hard 2 get a weekend off to come up there. Phil or anybody else if ya’ll want to come down here just let me know ahead of time and everythin’ will be cool. Anyway ya’ll take it easy and I’ll holla at ya’ll soon!

hey guys,
this is chris wong from the Stargate. i’m not sure who’s who in this forum but i’m guessing this is the kileen forum. this message is for phil and/or whoever was interested in buying some arcade cabinets.
i’m going to be selling off about 3 or 4 of my game cabinets which i don’t use that often anymore. before i sell them to outside buyers i wanted to give a heads up to you guys and to some of the guys in La. that were looking for cabinets.
some of these cabinets are my custom made, wide control panels and some are small regular cabinets. just e-mail me if you guys are still looking for cabinets.

Hello

Hey all. Names Steve, I live in Killeen. I play CvS2 regularly and used to play MvC2 religiously for DC. I don’t think i’m what you’d call tourney material, but I’m looking for some new people to play with. My current group of players have pretty much given it up.

If any of you guys have been to the 7-11 on Ft. Hood St. and Hallmark at night, you’ve probably seen me up there. I’m the big white guy with the long, fucked up hair. I’m pretty sure I’ve run into a few of you guys before.

I work nights up at the store, but usually have Sun., Mon. and Thur. nights off. If anyone wants to hook up, reply here, or come up to the store and let me know.

There’s plenty of CvS2 comp. here some Marvel also. We also play GGXX and Soul Caliber 2. I hope you are good with arcade sticks, that’s all we pretty much use since we always go to tournys.

Im pretty much about 85% effective with an arcade stick since I started playing w/ one regularly about 8 months ago.

What I’m looking for is some new faces to play against and maybe learn some new shit from. I went to tilt yesterday and the only comp. I got was:

Some kid who seemed infatuated w/ Cable, Cyclops, Iron Man and their respective projectile moves. I just kept blocking w/ Iceman and hitting Ice Beams until some guy finally told the kid, “ICEMAN DOESN’T TAKE GUARD DAMAGE FROM BEAMS, DAMMIT, STOP THROWING THEM!!”. :lol:
The guy who yelled at the kid. He just kept trying to get me into some Spidey hold assist, Morrigan Special combo that never worked. Ended up taking out Spidey before he was even tagged in.

I’m not claiming to be the shiznit or whatever, but I’m also not a horrible player. I just want to play someone new.

No one beats me:cool: Actually I am just incredibly hard to beat at CvS2. I play Spiral/blackheart/sentinel in MvC2.

MvC2 Capcom/Iceman/whoever
CvS2 C-Groove Kim/Rugal/TerryR2

I was going to practice some combos tonight, but my damn roommate took my copy of CvS2 out to CC…DAMMIT!:mad:

I use many in CvS2:

(Balrog, Rugal, Kyo, Hibiki)Yama/Bison (R2) C-groove

Ryu/Athena/Bison (R2) S-groove

(Geese, Hibiki)/Kyo/Bison (R2) K-groove

I can use Ken sorta good too, but not tourny worthy yet. I also use BB hood and Zangief in Marvel. So you use Kim and Rugal? Hmmm, well see if your decent or not. You’ll get the RSX test. If you don’t get whooped too bad, your decent:lol:

I work at Trevors in the mall. I use to work at Hollywood video. I come in 7-11 all the time, I always buy 2 liters of soda, I drive a little white Dodge Colt. Do you have a mustache or tatoos?(Just trying to figure out which guy you are.)

I got the 'stache. The guy with the tattoos quit a couple weeks ago after he was caught giving away cartons of cigarettes. You didn’t hear that from me though.

That guy was kind of a dick anyway. He was rude like, every time I went in there. But you’re cool. I remember, one time I went in there late, and there was no hotdogs, so so were nice, and microwaved one for me. That hotdog made me pretty sick.:lol: But that’s cool. We’ll be able to set something up for either this week, or next week, so keep postin’.
