Must be an old interview. But otherwise it’s LOLZy. Wong isn’t anywhere near the top Jap players. And didn’t he make the excuse after the fact (with the infamous Daigo fight) that he never liked the game and didn’t play serious? The funny thing is if you watch the Daigo/Wong fight and as Daigo does his famous parry you can see Wong mashing for dear life.
This is from the Denjin Video Podcast that was put out two years ago, man. By now Justin probably completely dropped 3S and doesn’t care about Kuroda.
Justin was still doing well during '08-'09 though. I dunno if he could beat Kuroda during that time, but he certainly would have been better prepared for the fight. And to be honest, besides Evo2K2(which he got destroyed by everyone except KSK) I never really heard of him competing in 3S except for 2K4, so I could believe him that he didn’t take the game too serious until then.
He wasn’t a pushover that year either. Everyone remembers the Daigo parry, but they don’t remember him beating down Kokujin and Raoh to make it to Loser’s Finals.
