For decades or perhaps centuries black males were seen as unintelligent and violent creatures, even savage in the eyes of the Caucasian race.
As expressed in his appearance and dialogue, balrog is not intelligent. With the sterotypes made by rappers from those of the non-black African race, they have been portrayed as inarticulate, ignorant, and soley concentrated on sex, drugs, and making money.
50 Cent is a rapper that represents those things in the lyrics he vocalizes. As a stereotypical black male, a lot of people see him as a violent thug because of his history and some of the things he says are not that intelligent. He had almost admitted to facading the rap auidence in an interview on the Today show.
That is what I see in the connection between the two and that is why i think that he would most likely pick Balrog and if not Zangief or Ryu. Zangief because of the muscle, and Ryu because of the popularity.
