Yeah, i mean, thats 3 movies by snyder. Unless hes open to change, that might be a bit much. Marvel comic movies do that, but while the movies arent polarizing, because marvel will always take the safe route. Always! Unless its a netflix series. But yeah, while they will always take the safe route, they got some duds on their hands, from fox, to sony, to marvel studios. Again, because why not, one of the most praised movies in the marvel franchise (winter soldier), has the stupidest plot ever. Iron man 1 is overall the best marvel movie to date imo, after binging a bit recently.

I love man of steel and bvs, but i think JLA does deserve something more than darkness, and angry characters. You gave us some new snyder, i liked it a lot, but okay, lets switch it up a bit.

Well Terrio said that the Lustice League movie will be much lighter than BVS. He also said that JL1 is the only other movie he wrote. He said he’s not writing JL2. I think that’s where Bruce Timm should come into play.

So what you’re saying is in the span of a month they created a full length animated feature because of Deadpool.

Meaning they had the full uncut rated R version and a PG-13 cut on tab, and didn’t decide which version they were putting out until just this week.

And now we got David Ayer saying he wants Suicide Squad 2 to be rated R.

DC animated movies lowkey have edited out adult themes for years and years. The most famous was Return of the Joker, which had the uncut release, but most of the films never got that kind of re-release treatment.

We’re finally at a point now where mature content is probably not going to be cut out as much as before, if at all.

Like can you even imagine an animated Lobo movie right now?

dc animated has had a history of going dark ever since they hooked up w/ WB…WB pretty much let them do whatever they want(compared to FOX)

Dark Knight Returns was pretty dark, and there are scenes brutal enough to make me question how it avoided an R rating, so this getting an R rating doesn’t surprise me. In fact, I thought it already had one.
