Here, I’ll address his “actual point”.

Why aren’t there more Black Super Heroes getting love in DC? Because most of them outside of the Icon Heroes aren’t very good. Pretty much all of them require being in an ensemble to reach their full potential and thus not in a Solo Movie. Steel, John Stewart, Vixen, Kaldur’ahm. If you try to pull the “Well Marvel took lesser known heroes and made them stars” feel free to back up. Marvel had years of established good will on their side so they could afford both critically and financially to take risks with movies like Guardians. DC does not have that luxury.

The only DC Heroes that really could front a movie without too much eyebrow raising would be Black Lightning and/or Static but considering how poorly they have made every one of their biggest heroes outside of Diana much worse off for it, I don’t really want to see them butcher the two.

If you want DC to branch out and give more minorities a chance, they have to show they won’t suck with their headliners. 1 out of 3 ain’t gonna cut it.
