yep, don’t go into this movie expecting a real storyline. It’s 95 % (well choreographed) action.

The fight scenes and the character interaction is what makes is worthwhile

Also, stay tuned after the credits. Trust me on that

Ever since they announce the replacement for Arthur with fuckin Billy, dont really care much for the ‘War’ movie. Wouldve been nice to see an animated scene where Aquaman summons the sea creatures to eat the shit out of the parademons and made Green Lantern stfu.

If the new Aquaman movie theyre talking about is about the Throne of Atlantis and they bring in dat Orm. I’ll be in that hype train.

I want Damien back as he was striving as a character at the time he died and there’s more mileage DC can get out of the character. While Morrison had planned to kill him off from the start, his death feels premature.

This movie is good stuff. I love the dc animated look (excluding the old-man roid batman)…it seems they have the same person on art direction/design. I dig continuity like that.

Hal. Is a fucking idiot. His banter with everyone made the movie. Especially with Batman. He can’t win against Batman

I didn’t mind Billy when he was Shazam.

Flash was putting in work (His banter (really just Hal just shitting all over him ) with Hal was funny as shit). If I had to order them in turns of overall assicking (much of it influenced by taking on Darkseid) it would be:

WonderWoman
Flash
Superman

I did like this more…irritable Superman though. It didn’t really take much to piss him off lol.

Never read the arc that this movie was based off of but I was a bit disappointed that Darkseid didn’t talk much. I always loved his shit talking banter during Superman/Justice League era cartoon.

Yo Darkseid was a problem though. The only ones even remotely looking like they were doing anything to him and weren’t simply being annoyances were Flash and Wonder Woman. Everyone else was like “I got this”, then proceeds to get bitchslapped into a building.

As a matter of fact…I need to go back and count how many times Hal yelled “I got this” and got bitchslapped into a building or into ground

It’s pretty much the reboot that was New52 in animated form, except they replaced Aquaman with Shazam. I was kinda salty about it at first, but I didn’t mind it that much when I saw Shazam in action.

Great fight sequences vs Darkseid.

Awful voice acting. I get that they want new voice actors for the New 52 but these new guys are simply awful with the exception of Cyborg, Flash and kid Shazam. Might be that I’m just too used to the old voices or something. Dialogue was also quite corny at parts.

Yeah it was a bit hit or miss with some of the voice acting.
Who knew Shemar Moore would be a good VA? But some of them sounded a bit dull (Batman) or to hyper (WW)
Green Latern’s VA wasn’t too bad, but his character was dumber than a stack of bricks.

Watching this new release Justice League Adventures: Trapped in Time…just cuz Karate Kid and Cheetah are in it (with interesting new designs for both and with Dante Basco voicing Karate Kid). It’s okay…feels like a 40-minute ep of Justice League with visuals slightly inspired by that “Batman and friends” animated series that ran a few years ago. Still, not bad. Not stellar, but not bad.
