Properly spaced and timed j.HP (cross-up) either beats or avoids reversal SRK, guess the trick is getting the right spacing and timing down but that’s pretty sexy nonetheless.

Anybody noticed that medium fireball whiffs on crouching opponents though that seemed toward the end of the fireballs life span. It was interesting to see how Juri can deal with the fireball war definitely holding her own against the Ryu match up. The j.FP oki game is so godlike forget about instant overhead with it. That thing puts you right next to them after you knock them down with it giving you good mix up opportunities provided they don’t tech right away. I’m hoping she has a good meaty attack as that would be the prime fucking time I would use it. j.FP crossup knockdown into a meaty into a combo, tick throw, bait reversals, bait into counter movement, Ultra I activation on landing, land lk pinwheel crossover shenanigans, instant j.FP overhead if possible.
Cancelling air moves into dive kicks is incredible. Instantly deals with focus happy people but I want to know if j.forward or j.RH will combo into dive kick. J.Strong looks like it will and it does move her hit boxes as she positions her body behind the punch. I wonder how viable it would be if you jump attack and have someone focus absorb the attack, land, counter movement and get a free combo when they release their focus attack.
Hmm, yeah seems like you might be right Doopliss. Looking at the pre-translated post it certainly seems that way. But if you’re right, that means you can followup an EX pinwheel kick with a standing HP while in FSE. That’s…interesting.
Makes sense to me that EX pinwheel creates free juggle state. if it didn’t, the last hit would have a juggle potential of at least 5, which is very high for a move of that type.

-fireballs beat out Hawk Dive
-EX Dive Kick trades with Hawk Dive
-T. Hawks s.HK(?) beats out Juri’s fireball if spaced right
-EX Pinwheel is safe at range.
However I still think that the Juri player wasn’t doing everything he could have. For one, I think he could have utilized more pinwheel combos, especially as Hawk got close.
Overall though, I’m leading towards slight advantage: Juri simply due to fireball spam.
Sagat style fireballs, does the other person have to block low to block the low purple fireballs?
I’m guessing you need to do a standing kick which could absorb fireballs inorder to use a fireball.
Though im ok with that, spamable if you stack yet easy to counter anyways.
Also, even though it is not linkable, that command downward kick is a lot better then what most have for cross up.
Able to use it either side and be very close about it without even having to space much seeing how it is a full downward 90 degree kick.
