Awesome, this girl is my main for sure, storable double reppuken, counter teleport, and back jump dive kick YES.
The more and more I see that kick the more and more I want to play Juri.
I wouldn’t say LK pinwheel is incredibly unsafe, we have yet to see if it’s a spacing thing. Obviously MK and HK are but I think HK is probably for hit confirms and anti air where as the LK version is probably better just for randomly poking at them.
But… honestly, I think the real juice is going to be her fireball starter. It eats fireballs AND it knocks down on hit and can be comboed into so… do whatever combo into fireball startup (which is probably safe) knock them down, put a fireball ontop of them as they get up and mix up. Looking at her moves I really think the fireballs are the best part of the character. Dive kick can probably be made safe by tossing a low fireball then dive kicking in over it… hopefully it’ll cover her approach and let her get in for free. Also I imagine dive kick is best for getting in on fireballers. Her neutral j.HK looks really really good so I imagine you can poke at them / keep out with that and if you see them throw a fireball as you jump, dive kick in and hit them. It also looked like it can catch people in the air so it might be good anti air.
It’s all based on stuff I’ve seen though so I guess we’ll just have to see when the game comes out.
I see the fireball mix up game being more effective with Feng Shui engine. Knockdown but a fireball on top of them and go for that quick overhead and combo into another knockdown for the same 50/50 wake up game. The timing on that fireball as they get up will be critical though and I think you’ll have to have it stored beforehand.
Adding to the fact that multiple fireballs can be stored that video of Juri vs Cody shows her store 2 fireballs she tosses one and it gets block then immediately tosses the other one out. Still waiting on confirmation about having multiple fireballs on the screen. Seems doubtful that we would be able to do that but you never know.
Do you have to use that one standing kick before using a fireball?
Or able to use a fireball at any given time?
Also, why does Fei Long wear spandex while Juri gets cool looking martial arts pants?

Now, when it comes to her playstyle I would hope she has different styles of play with each person using her. Such as fireball war, keepaway, combo heavy rushdown. etc.
I myself hope for a combo heavy rushdown effect with her and her Damage Ultra. Its the greatest move in the history of SF! …Combined with her Assless chaps of course…

I can see Juri playing many ways, between LK Senpusha Pressure, to a Hit and Run style with Shikusen/Senpusha mixups (low fireball, Shikusen/J.MK crossup, lots of hard knockdowns), to a Rushdown style with f.mk overheads, crossups and strong combos. Hopefully her normals are good and she has some strong links (I’m particularily hoping for a link into sweep) but she definately looks like she will be good. Just can’t wait to get my hands on her and this game!
I know I will try to bait beople and punish with EX dive kick into massive hurt.

Personally, this is what I’m hoping for when Ono says she’s beginner friendly - that she can be useful in multiple styles of play and not have to stick to one basic gameplan.
Personally, I’m hoping she focuses on key grab combos.
Oh wait wrong game.
I’m just hoping she’s has the OPTION to rush down every match, even if its not her best way to do the matchup, and that she has a great kara grab.
She looks like she’s gonna be able to pick and choose rush down, zoning, or run away. I like the versatility and assuming she’s not horribly unsafe, I see her going far.
