If Juri has a good overhead, Ultra 1 will be pretty sick. She’ll be able to do damage like Yun, where you’re crouching out of fear of a big combo and he just does an overhead move over and over for pretty considerable damage.
I’m pretty sure most Juri combos using U1 won’t end in a special, but rather sweep and then set up some untechable crossup nonsense.
She gets a full 15 seconds with a full ultra bar. That’s pretty insane. The fortunate thing is, I think it’s pretty clear it won’t be super overpowered like Genei-Jin, which is good. No unlimited juggle potential, no easy entry, etc. It basically just makes all her block strings air tight for a while, and lets her combo 5 or 6 normals together before being pushed too far out of range, then the combo ends and she has to earn her next mixup.
Juri doesn’t wear panties? I always thought that was more Cammy’s thing (her name fits better in the song too).

Juri seems to wear panties over her tights/hose, as Chun li does. She looks like an Akiman design to me…and so that’d explain the little Chun similarities.
I’m looking forward to seeing her alts. I hope they are stylish and befitting her edgy character. These costumes should be character defining, since she is a new character. No jokes! I also hope they’re not too terribly…sexual. I want Juri to be taken seriously. Some kind of battlesuit, or slick evil-corp business attire would be neat… but I’d sooner see something totally new altogether of course. Juri a trendsetter…so her threads better be good.
The Guilty Gear/A.B.A. main in me wants an A.B.A. alt or color, but other than short hair that wouldn’t really fit. At least give me an alt color with white clothing and red hair.
I’m interested in seeing what her two alt costumes will be.
Anything but a tradition Korean chima jeogori I don’t think that kind of loose skirt would look good with her moveset. She needs something badass IMO, I was thinking biker outfit with purple spider motif.
I believe it was mentioned that only the returning characters would get two alts (current SFIV alt and new one). Apparently, new characters are only getting one alt.
They were probably talking about at the release. No way they’ll pass up some popular DLC.
Id like to see her as a punk rocker, but I know tha wont happen

For some reason I’m picturing her as the girl from My Sassy Girl, in that scene where they walk into the bar and whip out their IDs while wearing high school outfits. The only other Korean film that I can think of offhand is My Little Bride and I don’t think Juri would fit as Bo-eun.

Uhm. So once again pretending to be srsly: Just how easy is it going to be to link…“anything” together during this custom Ultra. I was never familiar with Yun(played 3rd Strike casually Chun li main lol) and am not really sure what to expect here. I’m SET on pwning with Juri tho…and I hear that this custom Ultra will be the ticket to playing her competitively. Also…what can be linked? Does this include special moves?
Pretty much in the same boat since I also mained Chun in 3S (picked up that game way late, so I needed to get competitive ASAP), last time I did anything similar was Z-ism in A3. However, the premise is quite simple, while under Feng Shui-Jin, she should be able to combo normals that would not normally combo. Unfortunately, in the name of balance, you can’t cancel specials, at least not in the way you could with Z-ism, A-groove and Genei-Jin.
Also, IMO you shouldn’t just limit yourself to Genei-Juri, since her Ultra II looks to be mad useful as well (and is guaranteed damage.
Close fierce launch into UC1 FTW. PS: How do you know the juggle limit won’t be removed for UC1? Genei Jin got around the juggle limit, as do most supers and Ultras.
