Her super looks pretty terrible
Unless you can juggle it, it looks useless because the ex-cartwheel seemed to do about as much damage.
yea he ex cartwheels looks really good. specialy on Thawk i wonder if he is at 1100 hp or 1200hp still that looked decent.
Yeah, I’m also questioning the usefulness of her super. But other than that, she so far looks like she’s gonna be pretty sick. I can definitely see her becoming my main.
i agree. it looked like he was trying to do the double qcf or qcb motion to do the ultra, and the time the player did the ex cartwheel kick thing, it seemed like he just messed up an ultra attempt.
Is it just me or did it look like her super whiffed like half of it’s hits both times used?

In this video, at 1:42 she seems to have a “counter” like Gouken, except it teleports you backwards. You can see her absorb Bison’s c.lp, and just teleports instantly.

It looks exactly identical the end of her Super, with that tendril of Psycho Power or whatever whipping out for extra horizontal reach; not necessarily a projectile, but a ranged move nonetheless. Either that or it’s like a Gadouken in that it has drastically short range for a “fireball”.
Juri is so replacing Chun Li as my main main (she’ll prolly be my secondary).

That’s not her focus attack because in the T Hawk vs Juri video you see her backdash, which is a cartwheel. Right before she gets ultra’d.
Her focus is just a super brutal crescent kick, I think kinda like Cammy
There’s already a Juli in SF (here).
I actually I think her name is Judy (?) based on the Ono interview (here). However, since she’s a S. Korean character it could be something more along the lines of Joon Li (especially since the “n” is very soft in this name).
Anyway, even if her name is Mud she still looks like a character I could be interested in playing :nunchuck:
Edit: Just checked… Juli and Juni’s names in Alpha are Yuni and Yuri in Japan. Therefore, I suppose her name could be Juli, but it simply sounded more like Judy when the Gamespot guy said it.
Sorry, that just made me laugh hard.
But I hope Capcom ties her into the Bison Dolls thing, that would be kinda cool. Like she went totally renegade or something

As others have stated, her backdash is a Cammy-esque cartwheel, and her FA itself is reminiscent of Elena’s Mallet Smash (overhead kicks).
That teleport move is either a counter move ala Gouken, or it ties into her “TIME” Ultra somehow.
Considering it wasn’t used a single time in that Korean T.Hawk vs Juri vid, I have a bit of a suspicion towards the latter.

i could be wrong the video kinda looks like it skips a bit, if it was like goukens counter then bison shoulda been hit already. idk. id rather wait and see, then rather make speculations.

And about the counter, I’d say it’s kind of like Goukens “parry” except with Juri she doesn’t actually counter, she just teleports back.
maybe, idk. could be a different parry that allows an opening like it did in 3s. thats what it looks like to me…
