It looks to me from that vid that Adon HAD to do that dive kick late, otherwise he’d have flown right into the tiger shot. This says to me that move is garbage at full screen. Sagat was in fighting stance when it connected, so I think it could be blocked or maybe tu/focused.
Eh? I just don’t like her english voice. Just not what I’d expect from her. It’s just not evil enough in my opinion. If other people like it though, then more power to them.
I was wondering if they might get Laura Bailey using a similar voice to the one she did for Lust in Fullmetal Alchemist. Either way I think it’s just one of those cases where the Japanese voice fits the character so well that it would be hard to come up with a proper English equivalent.
Wikipedia lists juri’s English va as Kari Wahlgren. I don’t really hear any sort of semblence to either her or Laura Bailey, tho. I thought it might have been Kelly Sheridan from her laugh.
The two voices are reflecting different parts of her personality; the Japanese is more psychopathic and violent, whereas the English is validly more sexual, as if Juri gets excited by inflicting pain - just listen when Dictator gets raped by Juri’s heel…

Also wiki seems to think that English VA of Juri is Kari Wahlgren, “citation needed” though. Probably just someone taking a guess atm

She does sound kind of similar to Tsuruya in the Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya (played by Kari of course).

I love Juri’s theme. Somethign about it just made me fall in love with it as soon as I heard it. It’s so playful, and yet SO evil. GJ, Capcom~<3

Well we already know about her cancable/chargable fireballs, so that in part is like a mixup, and since the charged fireball comes out so quickly, it can lead to very easy frame traps and fake outs. From this shill will have a mix up. Then her pin wheel kicks all look similar, but are different, so you could go with the one that travels far, your opponent thinks you picked the one that travels short, and they could back dash and you hit them. We also know the light version is safe on block, but we haven’t heard that the others are, so it could very well be that your opponent may be tricked into thinking they could punish you after words. So you do have this, but I think Juri is more of a pressure charecter, able to pressure her opponent, and then use mobility and her counter to escape.
