After reading this again you have a point. Maybe it aint too strong seeing as its a “combo into” Ultra in the first place.

Yeah, that’s the only downfall with u2, you have to combo into it. With the pinwheel change it helps make the combo into it much easier. I tend to favor u2 because of the damage it guarantees me, but i’m also happy fse got some love too.

The change I like the most is the ability to FADC Senpusha into U2.

Better FA hitbox sounds cool, +20 fuhajin store damage is nice, but nothing special.

Please explain to me why would I use EX Shikusen in FSE. I have never used FSE (except in trials), so I’m really lost here.

That would actually be nice to have outside of FSE because you could check them with EX dive kick and if they block first kick you could just make it safe and if it hit you would continue kicking and end with a juggle.

But having FSE activated, I can’t think of one scenario where doing EX dive kick would be smart. You HK dive kick after a forward throw THEN activate FSE. So now that you’re in their face why even attempt to do an ex dive kick? Maybe it could come in handy vs characters like Akuma and Bison who can easily escape FSE pressure. I dunno.

It’s gonna be more useful finding setups which lets pw get blocked crouching.

U2 being a non-normal move, I guess we could mash it out during the dash due to SF4’s lenient input.

Now we can finally call FSE a game-breaker, they finally fixed her focus attack and she even got some more damage options. The LK Pinwheel buff will help a lot, both for easier FADC combos to safer pinwheels on crouch blockers.

And hell, these aren’t even all of the changes nor set in stone. We could get even more stuff. I’m impressed.

Mike sounds right. This pin fadc ultra will not be easy to do. You guys have problems with fireball fadc ultra so why would this be easy?

Anyone who is going “this isn’t what she needed” should just stop playing the character. It isn’t what you wanted but take what you get and use it. I mean, meter during fse? Faster walk and dash with further reach with fse? Some normal changes to mk. There are some solid buffs here.

Think more how to use it rather what easy mode stuff you wanted.

I agree with Kail. Although I’d like much better buffs for her overall character, getting so many FSE buffs makes it up for it, since Juri in FSE will be much, much scarier - specially with the meter building, which sounds broken as fuck.

Yeah. Her dash is faster and goes further, no mention on her walk speed.

You can input qcf, qcf+mp+mk to get the focus cancel with the buffered motion to go.

At first I was like “Man, Makoto got girl health again”, then I was like “WTF 1 PAGE OF JURI CHANGES!”. Awesome, we got significant FSE improvements, I’m hyper than hype. And Ultra2 users got a new combo into it. Now I just hope they quietly fix the hitbox wonkiness for close/far FSE moves and I’ll be in heaven.

[S]Just to point out, the EX Divekick change is universal, not just FSE.[/S] They probably changed it because fixing the auto combo on EX DK would be difficult, so now we can adjust the aim so we don’t hit the ground and prematurely terminate the EX Dive. Although, TK EX DK might still not be possible. But definitely some things like j.MP to EX DK will be possible from more angles.
Edit: I was reading a bad translation. That’s some weird shit with it only applying to FSE o_O

And to clarify what the LK Pinwheel change means, the first hit got +5. So if you FADC, you keep that +5 and get +8. If the second hit hits, it overwrites the hit/blockstun with its own, which results in same advantages as in AE +3/-3. And if the second hit whiffs, you directly get that +5, so a -9 LK Pinwheel on block becomes -4.

Seriously, I’m so happy with these changes!

This seems to me like FSE change only… But what you say makes more sense and I’d love that change - that would simply mean U2 = no fireballs for you.

Or maybe the ex dive kick will get extra properties under FSE (no knockdown?)…

My only complaint is the EX move properties being FSE only. I’d really like to be able to change the angle of EX Shikusen, and a full invicible EX Pinwheel wouldn’t hurt either.
