Something I haven’t seen much discussion about, but Jun can easily combo out of her forward throw with an assist. My favorites are Jun/Tekka, Jun/Poly. Tekkaman has the best followups but timing’s strict, Polymar’s easy to time but follow-ups aren’t as good. For example…

call Polymar, immediately forward throw:
immediately 236+C (you can’t combo the Bingo!)
OR
236 super (time right after Polymar’s last kick)

call Tekkaman, delay, forward throw:
if timed properly you have several options after Tekkaman lassos them, use your imagination

This is also possible with Ken the Eagle.

What combo do you guys use on opponents that are either ducking or far from you when you begin her BnBs? I find that the 6C wiffs in these situations so I’ve just been doing the 2C (1hit) bomb plant.

If they’re crouching I usually do 2a 2b 5c 3c into air combo.

for anybody thats interested, i made a basic combo tutorial on one of jun’s beginner combos:

Don’t know if this is new, but you can cross up Roll and V. Joe after a backthrow by immediately dashing.

Hey everyone, I came up with a combo with Jun the Swan. Here you go, I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching!:

What are Jun’s best combo options with an AA assist like Chun’s or Zero’s?

I’ve been doing:

2a, 5b, 2b, 5c, 2c 1 hit, 6c (Optional BBQ and repeat), 623 b, j.b, land, 5b, 5c, 421 a, Call Chun assist after special, dash forward, 5c, 3c, Jc, any air combo.

I was thinking what you could also possibly do is:
2a, 5b, 2b, 5c, 2c 1 hit, 6c, 623 b, j.b, land, 5b, 5c, 421 a, Call Chun assist after special, dash forward, 5c, 421 a, 421 a, BBQ, j. b, land, etc.

I’m not sure if its possible though? If you bbq them from the air 421 A can you somehow land and continue the combo on the ground?

Thanks, also found 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C (1 hit) , 6C, 623B, J.236 A, J.B, land 5A, 5B, 5C, 421 A, FALLING 236 A, Chun assist, land 214 A, SJ.B, any Super. Timing is a little wierd in spots, especially connecting the SJ.B, but it works.

Zero’s assist was a little awkward as his assist puts the opponent higher and gives you less time to follow up, but I still got her Lvl 3 Super to connect.

EDIT: Yeah, I guess this combo can be improved a lot. Like looking at the combo below Jun can do 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C (1 hit) , 6C (1 hit), 236 A, BBQ IAD j.C, j.236 A, land 5A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C (1 hit) , 6C, 623B, falling j.B, j.236 A, j.B, land 5A, 5A, 5A, 5B, 5C, 421 B, falling 236 A, Chun assist, land 214 A, SJ.B, 236 Super, DHC into Chun 236 Super.

All tested only on Ryu, and BBQ can be thrown wherever in there.

Another Jun the Swan combo video, featuring Tekkaman! I hope you enjoy it! Thanks for watching!:

those combo’s aren’t very practical. They waste way too much meter.

i was wondering if its possible:

5A, 2A, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C (1 hit), 6C, 623B, j.B, j.236A, j.B, land, 5A, 5A, 5B, 5C, 421A, chun assist, land, dash, 623B, repeats…

(paired with Tekkaman)

I have a midscreen assist combo for viewtiful Joe + Jun the Swan.

with Jun on point: IADj.5C, 5B, 2B, 5C, 2C (1 hit), 6C, P, walk forward a bit, 5C, 241A, air 236A, (bomb hits the opponent), land, dash 5C, 3C, j.5AA5BB, j.5ABB, 236A+B/236C/62314A+B

you can DHC into a joe super gun if you feel like blowing meter, too. I don’t know enough about her, but I think you could even extend the combo a bit.

Couple things:

 1. Why the random supers sometimes?
 2. You should try and get more damaging combos
 3. Try and use more mixups. Maybe 421C from far away once in a while, etc.

“random” supers = trying to get a safe switchin by dhc

421c from afar is not a good idea unless its to punish something, slow startup makes it easy to see coming

 1. what random supers?
 2. yeah I just picked her up and don’t own the game; gonna see if I can get some time on a friend’s Wii soon.
 3. Thanks.

Ah, I didn’t think of it like that. And good point with 421C, I was just trying to think of something.

Well, it’s true that sometimes he did weird dhc switches. For instance, in the second vid at 0:53 you dhc’d even though your opponent had no meter to Mega Crash and you had enough red life to kill him if you baroque’d. And in the same vid at 1:40, you had a good amount of red life with Jun, opponent had no meter and you were going to kill him with the super anyway, but you decided to dhc with Tekka for the sure kill and lost the red life advantage. Maybe it’s a matchup thing? I dunno.

But anyways, only thing I want to suggest is to try extending your ground and aerial combos to maximize her damage output. On the ground, you can chain her 5B with 2B and her 2B with 5C. So try doing 5B,2B,5C,2C to deal more damage. Also, after the second hit of 6C, instead of doing 2B,3C, go with 5C,3C - It deals more damage. In the corner, after the 3C hits, you can go 5B,2B,5C,3C for even more damage.

As for the aerial combos, after a launcher you can just go j.AABB - Double Jump - BB into super ala Morrigan for 18~20k damage depending on your ground string.
