what’s the best and fastest DP shortcut from crouch block?
whenever I see top tier replays it seems to be the biggest thing I’m lacking.

ppl like dudley and cody with their wierd elbow drop and kick that u cant stop unless you hit him in the crotch…
a medium srk would fuck their day…

and you should add standing lp onto your anti air list, I do it more than anything and you can visibly see it piss ppl off… it’s so quick and silent… nobody ever expects it >:D

I slide from down-back (blocking) to down-forward, down, down-forward.

So basically roll the stick forward, back, forward while crouching.

Crouching dps are often your best use for HP dp, which will net you 150 damage. I still tend to use mp a lot, which is perhaps more reliable at netting good damage (130 for both hits) combined with having excellent invulnerability.

But mp dp is also the most vulnerable against empty jumps. Good opponents will empty jump alot to bait it out. Better to use hp dp if he’ll land just in front of you and mp dp if you’re sure he’ll land on top of you. Damage with the hp mostly depends on whether they pressed a button in the air or not. If they didn’t, it’s usually 80 and if they did 150.

For hitbox reasons hp dp is more vulnerable after it’s invincible frames have run out, so if you use it too early it will trade, while mp will almost always win due to it’s cleaner hitbox. However, this can be used to your advantage against a low health opponent, as you can delibirately trade hits and buffer an ex shaku afterwards. Also possible with lp dp for more damage.
