The tourneys are cool and with Jaha back in NJ I’d like to go more often but I got back to Brooklyn at 5 a.m. I had to take tons of caffeine pills and two Red Bulls just to stay up. I wish the start time was strict.
I usually take a 5-hour energy before I drive so I don’t bang the fuck out on my way back to Philly. SWAG!
so whats the deal, are we running both tournaments and getting expanded space on another pool table? Me and Stig would stream if you would like a completely separate area etc. Changing the weeks to alternating wouldn’t work in my opinion, it’s bad enough that people still aren’t aware that the tournaments are every tuesday. I’d also like to point out that, while these tournaments did run ssf4 before, the player count was higher with marvel, we’ve had a solid 35+ for the last month.
I have a 20" crt that i can donate to the break if that helps in keeping Marvel running. Let me know.

10stars, Marvel has never reached the numbers SF4 and SSF4. 40-60 every week for months at a time, especially just before Evolution.
While we enjoy the hype that Marvel brings, the much surer bet is SSF4:AE if we were forced to choose.
We have not been forced to choose yet. I’m doing my very best to get the space we need for both games concurrently. We’re making sure we have enough systems. We’re making sure that we have enough games… Right now the only issue is the space, and I’m working closely with Chris C. to plan on making some.
You can’t please everyone, but if the break only has SSF4 AE or even just Mvc3… Then I’m sure a huge number of people will be disappointed either way. Personally, I would like to see both games ran at the break if they have enough games, space and time to do so. It would be more fun and more hype to be able to enter both games or at least watch the other. Also, both games should be treated equally imo because both are very popular right now in the fighting game community, and both are the most played competition wise in the U.S. You can’t base popularity on number that a game “USED” To bring 2 years ago and expect it to bring the same amount. It may or may not do it, who knows… The more numbers the better I say, and that goes for both games.

Well either way, I’m hyped for the Break tomorrow, I just wish I could make it.
Word has come in… we will have space for BOTH games…
We need people to bring in consoles, games and chairs… just in case we need them.
