Major tournaments are held on PS3, and 8otb weeklies have been held on PS3s since they started.
IMO it is easier to hold tournaments on PS3 if you have the resources.
There have been times when people volunteered to bring xboxs and used it for maybe one setup but PS3 is still the console of choice. Also, the people who bring them are reliable (shout outs to HackerMike wooo).
If you bring it they might use it, but space can get tight around there…
it also messes with players’ abilities when 2 different consoles are being used for one tournament.
The difference on the two consoles is not a big deal, and people are willing to share arcade sticks, so I don’t think that’s any excuse for people to miss out on these! (all the players in NJ who have yet to come to 8otb, i’m talking to youuuu)

I’ve discussed this before I believe. Wasn’t the main issue a lack of a good Internet connection nearby or something equally silly? I mean they DO have a connection I was just always under the impression that shit was dial-up or something retarded, otherwise hell, even I could’ve did a stream… Not that difficult with those TVs.
