**Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike **(PS2) MR. QUOTES Fundraiser
As some of you may know, at East Coast Throwdown 3, the laptop of tournament director and beloved New Jersey Player Mr. Quotes was stolen. So as a token of our appreciation, the NY 3s community will be holding a special 3s tournament fundraiser to help Quotes buy a new laptop. One of the reasons why ECT3 was so hype was because individuals like Quotes were willing to sacrifice their time AND money so that other players could focus on their own matches and have a good time.
So show some love and come out to Skillionaire Fighting at Next Level this Saturday! If you don’t want to enter any of the events but still want to donate come to Next Level anyway. We will have a collection box set up. With 3SOE just around the corner this event would be the perfect introduction for new players who are curious about the game. You get to play with some of NYC’s finest 3s players AND it’s for charity!
Entry Fee: $5
Grand Prize: 75% of the Pot goes to Quotes. The rest goes to 1st place. (Remember this IS a fundraiser!)

But jokes aside, I’m sure many of you locals either know Quotes on a personal level or are acquainted in some way since he dabbles in just about every damn fighter you can name and is an enthusiastic supporter of even the most “poor” and humble of the fg communities. That being said, show love for your devoted tourney mods and one of the most hype all-around local commentators. Crack open those piggybanks and make it rain $KILLION$ for the cause.

Wasn’t aware you could rent PS2 sticks at TNL. I was there during the Skillionaire tournament but was playing casuals in Blazblue. I wanna enter the next one for 3S with my newbie skills. You guys look like you had mad fun :D.

Mutant XP actually had an idea for the next tournament where we take the newer or less experienced players and have a team tournament where we team them with a “pro” or good player, this is to motivate all the newer or suspecting players to join and learn 3s one step at a time along side a good player…this is actually the same format they used to use at Family Fun Arcade (according to Mutant XP) so its a good way to get players to let go of their fears of losing and just play for fun, we can possibly have a Mikado type of tournament where player A vs player A and player B vs player B while the good players will coach the less experienced players during the matches, its a good way to learn so for those wanting to learn or play 3s look forward to this type of tournament next time!! :tup:
