I checked Toys R Us and Hastings today and neither had a street fighter stick. Toys r us did though have a Hori EX2 Fighting Stick for the 360, and it was around 60. I googled it and the stick doesn’t us Quick Disconnects so you’d have to know how to solder to be able to mod it.
Hmm, the guide on shoryuken on modding hori ex2’s doesn’t look too hard actually, except getting a stick in it…

Too much trouble, I think I would rather spend 40 extra bucks to get a madcatz SE on ebay.
Do you have any idea if Madcatz is even going to release more sticks in the future? I swear I heard the game plan was to release more but it isn’t looking like they are going to do so.

You’re better off with the EX2 stick, the SE is shitty I hear. If you’re that hard up you could wait for the TE or spend the 200 plus. But we all have the EX and it is very functional I assure you, even without the mods.
Too late I just got an SE from ebay lol, the only problems I’ve heard of are the washer scratching the pcb and such, which I won’t have to worry about with all sanwa parts.
I even have a bookmarked youtube vid of a guy replacing with all sanwa in about an hour.
What did you end up paying for it? I’m guessing 120.

I’m elite at making irrational decisions and got a Tournament Edition from ebay today. I can now lose with 2 different sticks.
How much did you pay for the TE, b/c I’m looking to upgrade whenever I can get one for a reasonable price.
I paid 235. I believe the standard price is 160 so a 75 dollar increase isn’t that bad ;). One’s I had bid on ended up going for 280 so I didn’t do that bad in comparison. One seller has several for 240ish with the buy now feature. I saw on cheapass gamer some people were saying there LE sticks were starting to ship that they pre ordered months ago, so perhaps that is a sign of more to come.

When I get my stick I can actually start doing vipers more powerful combos.
j.hk, cl.hp xx hp thunder knuckle feint, c.hp xx ex siesmo, hjc, hk burning kick, ultra.
which is something like 800 stun and 800 dmg(and yes the feint reduces recovery on one fierce punch which can link into another fierce punch.)
and just start doing more feint pressures in general.
probably gonna take like a week to even get finger memory in though.
I might even try playing chun-li, she’s always been a cool character to me but I hate charge characters on controller.
Lightning legs is also really hard to pull off and pianoing will make that so much easier.
Square gates just seem to be made for charge characters too.
If you come Sunday you can try my HAPP stick and you can see if you like the evil octagon gate.

wow. 235? i’m sorry there’s just no way i’d pay that much for a stick unless it was custom and worked on multiple systems. even then…damn. that’s a ton of money! i got bills to pay!
