JoJo's for those who play it!

YES! More combo’s and shitz please! I just got this for DC the other day, and I think it’s hella fun.

This game is awesome, more Joseph stuff!

The secret to almost every solid combo, from what I’ve learned and seen, is the Stand Program command, qcb+S. For one cheap super stock, you get anywhere between a handful and a great many moves performed immediately afterwards, as fast as you can hit the buttons. One of the funniest to watch is to use Jotaro and just Stand Program like ten Mach Ora Rushes out of Stand Mode to see how many hits you can get in.

Also, with a programmed Stand, you can move independently of the stand for most people(Joseph and Chaka excluded, naturally), which, if used properly, leads to even sicker juggles and such.

Sadly, I’m better at analyzing these things than actually pulling them off(always easier to coach than do!), so I’m at a loss for real combos outside of training mode or if you manage to rack up like six super stocks at once. I know that Jotaro has the easiest infinite ever, though, qcb+A2(x2), qcf+A3, repeat.

Pet Shop has an almost 100% INESCAPABLE corner combo:

Crouching A, qcb+R, qcb+R, qcf+R, XXforwardAY

This combo is game over if you can pull this combo off. Requires 4 stocks of super meter.

Doing Jotaros rush punches in his program stand thing doesnt really work well because they knock the character down. Its best to just program as many dang normal chains as possible with maybe a super if you have meter.

Young Joseph (not really practical)

QCB+SA, QCB+SA, jump in SA, s.MA, QCF+MA, (the second qcb+SA should now hit) QCF+LA+MA.

Actually i think it does more damage to do the rush yoyo moves after the second QCB+SA hits.

In the corner works the best.

j.SA, s.SA, QCF+SA, short jump SA, s.WA, s.WA, f+MA, QCB+S (Program s.WA, s.WA, s.MA), while chain is just about to end dash forward, s.WA, s.WA, f+MA, QCB+WA+MA.

Im really not sure if it works on all chars and im not sure when a stand break, if any, occurs. The timing is also very strict because the QCB+S only comes out if the Star Platinum has completely finished the rush punches (QCF+SA).

Seriously though, I didn’t know Jojo combos were ridiculously long.

I’ve been trying to do jotaro’s
standing weak, forward medium xx whatever

I simply can’t get the standing weak to combo into the forward medium. I know it’s a link, but it seems really hard to do… yet in all the videos I see of jojo, every jotaro player can do this no problem. Is there some trick to this that I should know?

Also, what gameplay differences are known between PS1 and DC versions of jojo?

Random observation:
The PS1 US version of jojo shows the kanji/kana during Blazing Fists match, while DC US version does not. Neither version has blood, however.

No trick, it’s just the timing in this game for links is VERY strict, especially the Jotaro LA, F + st. MA. Think CVS2 Blanka cr. short, cr. short strict.

Man I see a lot of good stuff in here. Does anybody know how to do Dio’s the world glitch?
