Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Don't Say Wrry Edition

Live action manga/anime movies usually suck and I expect nothing different here. I’m guessing a condensed version of the original story

End of Stone Ocean isn’t the same universe as 7/8 so she doesn’t…there is a character in part 8 who is considered to be the representation of Jolyne in that universe, even though her stand is completely different and she is old.

She’s 50[/details]

Reread Part 7. One of the best Parts of Jojo. All of the main characters were enjoyable and I’d say that Johnny is one of the most fleshed out main characters in the Jojo parts. To think that it came after the train wreck that was Part 6 blows my mind.

Yeah Part 7 is probably what I look forward to the most of all, it was SOOO good in so many ways

Jojolion 61 is out.

Something’s been bothering me about the ending of part 6.
Part 6 is a direct sequel to Part 5, right? Giorno should still be alive at that time.

[details=Spoiler]Shouldn’t Gold Experience Requiem automatically stop Made in Heaven’s time manipulation effects? Since Made in Heaven affects the entire world, Giorno’s GER should be able to counter its effects from any where in the world.

One of the thing about the ending of Part 5 I wasn’t sure about was whether GE lost its Requiem abilities after it ejected the arrow. Wiki says his stand ejected the arrow but kept its abilities, but I didn’t see Giorno use his stand again so I wasn’t sure.

If Giorno does still have GER, it should stop Made in Heaven automatically.[/details]

Firstly spoilers bruh, secondly I’d have to re read certain parts but…

Spoiler

Either GER deems it fit to protect Giorno only or GER isn’t in range. It’s kinda difficult because not much is really said so we don’t particularly know the rules to GER other than keeping the cause and removing the effect. Upon reading, it’s really not clear. Diavolo uses Epitaph to see the future, tries to time skip but GER erases that and wins. It’s either a range thing, a control thing or GER protects just Giorno.

So did Giorno

Spoiler

keep his GER or did it revert back to GE?

Spoiler

No idea, people always assume that GER stays around but there’s nothing to support that claim. You could make the argument Giorno would keep GER since the arrow, Giorno and GE “accept” each other versus how Silver Chariot Requiem disconnects from Polnareff thus killing PolPol~kun, but yeah that’s really something that’s unfortunately up to the reader to decide.

Just here to say that namco bandai needs to give this series the proper game it deserves in the style of the Naruto fighters because the current ones are complete shite.

since time has passed between 5 and 6, plus the fact that the two stories happen in different parts of the world [5 in italy and 6 in the USA respectively]; there’s a slim chance that Giorno would have been involved in stone ocean in the first place.

jotaro is the only character that “anchors” a lot of these arcs together [stardust, diamond, stone ocean and to an arguably small degree is vento]. i still doubt he would be able to get hold of giorno and drag him into the situation.

theoretically though, GER would be able to be match up nicely with MIH, but it would be a fucking tug of war between their stands. i can’t even imagine how rekt time and space would be if they did fight lololol

[details=Spoiler]What I was thinking was that because MIH affects the entire world, Giorno in Italy would be like “whoa wtf is going on? GER!” and undo everything MIH did even if MIH is on the other side of the world.
Jotaro was 30 in part 5 and 40 in part 6. Giorno would be only 25 years old in part 6.[/details]

I think it’s like how most stands like that tend to have areas of effect. So a way to explain it would be that it simply effected him from a range that he can’t interact with

Or perhaps it simply doesn’t have a conscious effect on humans and just works

Does anyone prefer the OVA over the Anime for Stardust Crusaders?

I prefer the N’Doul and D’Arby episodes because they’re better animated but that’s it, I hated the changes to the Vanilla fight and the fight vs DIO is so so, while well animated the style of the characters look garbage plus Road Rolla > Lorry Tanka. The “prequel” SDC OVA is arse.

That’s just me thoughm I prefer 1:1 and considering the OVA misses out so much stuff it doesn’t sit well with me.

Animation quality is so much better however I didn’t like the tone of the OVA. Regarding the Vanilla Ice fight I’m much too conflicted while I hated how Vanilla died, I felt more for Iggy in the OVA he came off more like an actual dog because the OVA didn’t follow Araki’s revision of Iggy’s design. Also it was a bit brutal. I hate the way they presented Dio in the OVA his voice character sounded like a middle aged women who smoked 3 packs a day and the way they decided to draw his face… I always thought Dio came off as an attractive manipulative person and thats how the characters describe him but the OVA made him look like a lunatic with a rape face.

Not a Fan of the OVA in general honestly

@Xvideos

you bring up a good point but then again, it’s highly doubtful that giorno was aware of the conflict to be able to react at all.
unless he was directly involved in the battle, GER won’t be able to activate his powers to affect time.

gasa also bring up a valid point [“it just works”, lololol gosh i love that king crimson reference] but then again, araki used that conflict as a deus ex machina to wrap up that universe because it was getting kinda stale imho.

jojo anime>>>>>jojo OVA
the problem with the OVA is that the animation HAS NOT aged very well plus a lot of plot has been condensed or removed to fit the format at the time.
try watching a gundam OVA then the tv series or even an evangelion OVA then a tv episode and you’ll get what i mean.

gotta agree with abbachio, the OVA prequel series was just garbage imo.

Tbh most of the Gundam OVAs were their own thing rather than condensations of full series and stand up really well, I’d even go so far as to say most of the OVAs are better than a few of the actual series.

War in the Pocket is a fucking masterpiece.
