What? The last four episodes have been pretty good! They may not be knee-deep in a continuous arc but, these individual episodes have been Gold.
Love the explanation on why Joske loses it everything someone insults his hairstyle.

Shitting on JoJo’s in any way is strictly prohibited in this thread
i pity the fool who shits on JJBA…
TOKIYO TOMARE, ZA WARUDO!
Diamond is Unbreakable is basically the “slice of life in JoJo land” arc. It does have a big bad, but it’s a little more on the mystery-ish side for a while so there’s still random shit that happens before the final showdown. It’s very much a series of short stories.
So, does it get “better”? Yes, it does, but it still is the same type of stuff
I’m waiting for jojolion to finish before I even start it.
i’ll be up to date in 4 years or so
Diamond is unbreakable has been top-notch! Not being familiar with the manga, i remember thinking Stardust was the peak of the series, and it would be kinda downhill from there. Nope, the JoJo animated adaptation is still kicking ass.
The episode with the stand-using Chef at his restaurant was probably the weakest of them, and it was STILL a 3 out of 5. Every other episode has been 4/5’s and 5/5’s.
If they made a Steel Ball Run anime I could die with no regrets in life
Yeah, 2, 5, and SBR are my favorite arcs but SBR especially just has this special something that makes it awesome
Holy crap! Episode 18 of diamond is unbreakable. The first truly shitacular episode!
This made me appreciate the Episode with the stand-using Chef at the restaurant a lot more. Even if it seemed weird, at least i was always glued to the screen in anticipation to see what happened next. In retrospect i’d give it a 4 out of 5.
Episode 18? 1 out of 5!!!
I actually found myself zoning out at times, i was so bored, and didn’t care. Geez.
And to make matters worse…this is a two-parter?! Why?!
I’m waiting till the anime at least gets to the interesting parts of part 4 to start watching but what happened in the episode you are talking about?
is it the 2nd part of the yukiko stuff?
I am
Just happy josuke has a cool guy voice and not that gravely 50 year old chain smoking woman voice
Basically it felt like shameless filler with nothing eventful.
Earlier on another member had complained about there not being a consistent arc but, lots of “1-shot” type episodes that had little overall development. However, at least those previous 17 episodes were a lot of fun and suspenseful with interesting enemies.
Episode 18? Nope! The characters were just dicking around the whole time.
ok so I’m guessing its the episode with Harvest. dont worry the 2nd half of it is way better and becomes a very important part of the main plot.
Yup! That’s the one. At least Harvest was a cool stand. It doesn’t look like much for fighting but, i could see it being really useful in the hands of a Detective searching for clues or something.
Also this just dawned on me. Does anyone else find Josuke & Okuyasu’s friendship to be awfully similar to Yusuke and kuwabara from YuYu Hakusho? They basically have the same dynamic. I wonder who inspired who first.
Could be some manga archetype. Goofy sidekick and likeable main character doesn’t seem too far-fetched an idea.
*You don’t like Shigechi? I love the little guy, Shishishi. My guess is that you’ll like the 2nd part alot better than the first.
kira yoshikage is creepy as fuck but killer queen is legit one of the coolest looking stands for this arc.
art was weaksauce this last episode though.
This anime is my first exposure to this story sooo…
Where would you rank Kira w/Killer Queen among the stand villains?
