I’m not liking this whole “bad guy of the week” type of thing that the anime is on right now. I’m liking S1 and S2 way better than this season so far. I just want to get on to the story already.

Part 1/2 do these too but its easier to hide with the them being generally shorter and having less baddies. Probably best just to marathon it once its done
This is where Jojo falls off reaaaallllyyy fast.
That really is JoJo’s double edged sword. The monster of the week thing is both the greatest strength and the greatest weakness of the series.
On one hand the plot really only exists to create opportunities for fights, and is for the most part kind of weak (at least for parts 3-5). On the other hand the combination of bizarre powers used intelligently and unusual battle layouts make the fights in JoJo excel, and the monster of the week format only increases the amount of them (which is IMO a good thing).
Normally a lack of plot bugs me, but that is because it shows a lack of effort. The fights are so intricate that they clearly show that effort, so I don’t mind so much (though I could see why a person might be thrown off at this point in the anime, early part 3 is for the most part IMO where the stand battles are at their weakest, as the stand battle system was just having it’s kinks worked out at the time). That said this dynamic starts evening out with later parts (6-8), where there was more plot to balance it out.
I really need to get hold of Polnareffs arm workout, like god damn nigga i was thinking his stand should be using a claymore not a pissant rapier with him having those guns!
The third arc was basically were Araki worked out a lot of kinks in how he was going to use stands imo. Also you guys gotta remember this was written way back in 1989 before you bastards were even born.
New episode. Kinda weak IMO. 
Felt like I was watching a Scooby Doo type episode or a Pokemon (haunted theme/scary theme) episode.

Well Ebony Devil possessed the puppet as pic below is it’s true form. (At least that’s how I think it works)
Not gonna lie, was a little disapponted with that episode, the whole fight was based on the fact Polnareff went searching for keys under a bed, as soon as he could see the fight was over in seconds.
That’s how a lot of stand battles are really, more puzzles than the fights you’re used to in parts 1 and 2.
The epic fights animated in ch. 2 were great. Airplanes into a volcano
Last two episodes were creepy as hell. Crazy ass Jumunji Primate and now crazy ass Chucky Puppet. Please stahp, I want to see dudes flexing in Jojo T_T

On Devo’s name change;
His name was changed in Viz Media’s translation of the manga to avoid lawsuit from the band of the same name. Per Araki’s suggestion, he was renamed “Soul Sacrifice”, a reference to the song of the same name by Santana. This name has since been used within the international release of All Star Battle and the Crunchyroll simulcast of Stardust Crusaders.
