Jojo's Bizarre Adventure - Don't Say Wrry Edition

Part 5 is fucking awesome, that’s why.

EDIT: There’s a JoJo’s anime event in June. Maybe Part 3 reveal?

Part 5’s climax/ ending is the worst in the series though. Diavolo turned out to be a really poor antagonist one he was no longer relying on Doppio and the whole fight with him at the end was stupid

and it had other really stupid parts like Notorious B.I.G

I like Giorno and Passione as much as the next guy but Part 5 as a whole was weak as hell to me

Yea I think Diavolo out of all the main antagonists, he feels the weakest to me (in terms of character). I did like the crew of part 5 but their opponents didn’t seem as memorable to match up to them. Though I like Bucciarati’s fight against the fisherman and the guy who swims through objects.

Also thinking about it, part 6 felt like Pucci was the only outstanding antagonist to me but it works because he was persistent throughout the whole storyline, unlike other parts where the main antagonist shows up here and there and gets a full reveal in the later parts of the story.

I actually like how part 4 had their antagonists because it was just their townfolks and a decent number of them even became their allies, especially someone like Rohan. Running into a stand user was like running into a town drunk for Josuke.

I think I like part 5 the least, Giorno doesn’t do much for me as a main character. And yeah final battle was another reason.

Also I didn’t like how Jotaro was in part 4 and 6. He’s a good character but by those parts he’s already too strong so the antagonist either have to be made to be stronger than him or his allies become a burden.

I did like Pucci as an antagonist though because of his persistance.

*SCR was the real final battle of vento (if you want to call it that). The Diavalo fight was just a way to wrap up everything. *

Part 7 would have been my favourite if it werent for the design. I wish it had the design from Stardust Crusaders. in 7 I feel as if I am reading a fashion magazine and not a manga. Total lack of expression! Only Gyro’s gag panels reminded me that this is a manga.
this all started from part 5 really with some characters, culminated in part 6 and was completed in 7.

Part 5 messed up since it introduced Jotaro and his emissary but those two were later forgotten.

To those that got the limited edition blurays, how many episodes are in per volume? debating on picking them up but not sure if i wanna spend $100+ for 2-3 episodes per vol.

I don’t buy anime but this series is a must have for me.

Are they subbed? Quality? Where to buy?

All info is helpful. Need to show my appreciation for the win that is this anime.

So, is the animated series done, or are there “upcoming projects” that haven’t been elaborated on yet?

Looks like they’ll do Stardust Crusaders next. Apparently, it seems the animators are taking a break.

FINALLY!!!

lol.

It’s the new No Limit Soldiers: Tokyo.

Perhaps, I ought to rewatch the whole series. Ah! If only Saint Seiya and Hokuto no Ken would get the same treatment!

Saint Seiya got a new series last year. I tried watching it but got bored after awhile. Intro was boss though.

I really liked the new content: Tenkai Hen, EpisodeG, Lost Canvas, Next Dimension, Hades Sanctuary, Hades Inferno, and Elysium.

I personally think Omega looks horrible. Athena looks like E.T. to me. I can’t relate to the new main character either.

Volume 14 of Diamond is Unbreakable is out in high quality: Read it here.

Oh shit, thanks DarkGeneral!

Chapter 21 of Jojolion’s out (watch out, spoilers in this link for those who’re holding off/haven’t been reading the manga): http://ls57tiger.freepgs.com/jojo/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=6274&start=50

Big info dump in this chapter. And wow, what happened to Johnny was sad. Really sad. Following the Joestar tradition of dying young I suppose and it seems him getting ahold of the corpse had large consequences. The Wall Eyes remind me of the Devil’s Palm in Steel Ball Run and the Devil’s Palm came by as a result of the corpse. Johnny probably took the corpse to his wife back in Japan, which could’ve caused all the paranormal activity in Morioh. But I can’t remember if the earthquake was a recent event in the manga or something that happened much earlier…[/details]

*Simply a gdlk chapter of JoJolion.

[details=Spoiler]I feel like Johnny’s demise fits perfectly with his character. One of the reasons Johnny is one of my top 3 JoJo characters is because he is probably the most flawed main character we have seen in JoJos. He fucks up quite often, he’s selfish and he’s always trying to prove himself in some way or another and it never quite goes as planned. Seeing him go to extreme measures to save his wife and somehow getting himself killed in the end isn’t particularly surprising. Though I highly doubt the validity of the claim that he got hit in the head by a boulder while out for a walk, knowing Jojo’s this is a cover up of some sort.

Plus we’re forgetting that he couldn’t just march into America and go to the underground vault and take the corpse parts out. If I’m not mistaken the vault once locked is locked for years and years. That’s even assuming the corpse is even in the vault and that Lucy Steel wasn’t wandering around with it somewhere. However I do think between the time Johnny died and the current time of JoJolion that the corpse did find it’s way into Japan somehow. The Wall Eyes are a recent phenomenon that popped up after the earthquake.

Since the Wall Eyes appeared Nirosukes eldest son hasn’t appeared (at least to us the reader), Josh, Yatsuho and Daiysa have all gained stands, Kira died and a certain 4 balled Sailor has appeared. [/details]*
